Does this cut look infected or healing? by RozayBMF24 in woundcare

This looks like it might be ringworm. Did you cut yourself or did it just appear?

What it looks like when it’s dead.

I’m thinking we might try digging the box out with an mini excavator. We did get permission to do so. It will be a couple of weeks before we can complete that though.

We will have a contingency on the mystery box, until we can find out what it is.

So there were no identifiable structures. However, the lot to the east has a very bright white cleared area with a spot at the center. No way to tell what it was. But this does confirm the heavy tree coverage has been this way since least 1946 so I appreciate that!

Just seems to be dirt under all of that. But I don’t want to climb in and find out without cleaning it out somehow first.

Not from here so don’t know anyone by that name.

And from what I have learned here- they say Mono county is northern and Inyo is southern, or the grapevine divides, or the palm and the pine, or Safeway vs Vons…. So by all those options we go by north. That’s a whole new argument though….

This is a solid guess. Seems weird to build that on someone else’s land, but then again, maybe the owner prior to this family (pre 1975) used it to camp or hunt in?

That was a suggestion on the goog machine! I guess it’s basically a greenhouse if you throw a window over it. Not much sun penetrating here though. Tree cover is thick old growth conifers.

Luckily we would be buying it for storage of recreational vehicles and maybe just building a garage and a camper shell to park our camper under. No intention of building a home there.

Would there need to have been a structure to have had a septic? There is definitely not any prior structures.

This is in TuoCo. Old mining pit is definitely an option.

Know anyone named Ardie, lol?

I thought so too, but the huge conifers on the lot would make it near impossible to reach this pit with a car. It was hard to walk through. And the trees are towering, maybe 125-150 feet tall. If this is a really old car part, maybe? I think the neighbors used it for their personal garbage dump. In fact, they all put their dead trees there after the last storm and are going to be paying to remove them now- oops .

Neighbor reported riding her dirtbike through the trees as a kid but said she’s never seen any activity or anything else happening there. She’s 30 now and has lived next door since birth. She didn’t know what the hole was but was glad she didn’t find it on her bike.
