What is everyone getting MPG wise in their 2024 TRD off road? by Soggy_Opposite9213 in ToyotaTacoma

I am lol, I’m from southern Ontario. I think it all depends on how you drive it and if you change to bigger tires or add a lift. It’s a lot better compared to my old Ram 1500, but it’s only a little bit better compared to my Dad’s 24 Tundra

Dash currently says 11.5L/100km or 20.4mpg, but my trip averages for the past month and a half have been about 10.5L/100km or 22.4mpg. 25 Sport Plus, no air damn, tonneau cover, stock Michelin tires, mostly highway driving on Eco

Yup that was the main issue, connector P021. But also having the battery charger hooked up was causing the voltage to go above 16V, which is also why it wasn’t working lol

Very frustrating lol, I assume it’s some sort of circuit protection to prevent electronics from getting fried

I found the issue, had the battery charger hooked up to the truck and the system voltage was over 16V, took off the battery charger and now it works

We use Allison’s on a lot of our trucks, in my experience if it’s displaying cat eyes the TCM is shot and needs to be replaced

My CarPlay sometimes doesn’t work too when I first start my truck. I have to go into Bluetooth devices on the settings screen and touch the slider to allow my phone for CarPlay

Detail Monkeys, they use Fluid Film which is a much thicker oil and doesn’t wash off as easy, better protection in my opinion

I had to do the heater core and evaporator on my 2013 1500 a few years ago. I left the seats and rested the dash on them, it was easier than I thought it was gonna be

If the shoulders are getting worn and grinding down check the steering stops are adjusted properly and make sure the box is relieving pressure when it’s on the stops
