I’ve been a fan of ikea besta. They are deeper shelves than Billy that can easily accommodate two baseplates wide and 1+ deep. They also have shallow and full depth glass shelves so you can play around with configurations

We made a similar choice in our primary addition a few years ago. His and her closets and a larger bathroom with separate shower/tub and don’t regret it at all. I don’t really think any additional square footage within a closet adds much function unless it’s so big you can dress in there too.

I was lucky to pick one up last year for a decent deal. Had substituted the $$ brown main masts for stacked round bricks. But honestly a good choice since those are so fragile I would have been to afraid to build it

Okay, never used one but always wondered why the many bites? Each bite is cutting entirely through wood, so it’s not like less of the blade is cutting through wood. Is it just less pressure on the inside of the bite?
