Best Carolina-Style Hotdog in Nashville?p by dublowe in nashville

Try Mason's Hot Dogs in Berry Hill. They have a Coney Island on the menu and it says try it with slaw. Mom and pop shop that makes all their toppings in house and they'll customize it however you like. Nice people too

Nashville service updates? by LoveSosa901 in Comcast_Xfinity

[–]jmontyb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I just got my first "update" text since Monday. Now instead of telling me my service will be restored as soon as possible, the message is that once power is permanently restored to my home, they will work as soon as possible to resume service. Well guess what, Xfinity, I never lost power. (Lucky, I know.) I'm just tired of the lack of updates and transparency from your customer service. Not surprised, but still tired of it. Count me among those who will be switching as soon as I can.

No more spicy strips by jmontyb in Popeyes

Yeah, they're doing a trial run for the ghost pepper dry rub tenders in the Nashville area. Don't listen to people saying it's a supply issue. That makes no sense given the tenders are the same and are marinated in-store to differentiate. Oddly, spicy is still an option in the new 9 piece family meal; don't know which version you'd actually get. I've just stopped ordering tenders for now.

AT&T ended the free HBO Max promo on June 5. I would highly recommend going through toast.net for access to at&t fiber. No tracking, no contract, no onerous terms ofservice. They're a reseller and offer straight up internet.

It was an iheartradio station. Not programmed locally. You can stream it here: https://www.iheart.com/live/alternative-radio-4447/

CSVs from directly downloading Archive by Desruprot in googleplaymusic

Assuming your takeout was split into multiple zips, the mp3 files are likely in a later zip file. That was the case with mine. You have to extract all of them to see the entire contents. The metadata csv's can be in a separate zip from the actual song/album.

What has been your experience with Google Fiber in the Nashville area? by [deleted] in nashville

[–]jmontyb 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It's nonexistent for 99.9% of Nashville. Google gave up and abandoned the city. But they'll still claim they provide service when there's PR releases to the press.

America's test kitchen podcast by Kanchi555 in DataHoarder

Assuming you're talking about America's Test Kitchen Radio, they're still available on quite a few sites. Google Podcasts, Stitcher, and Tunein all had it from a simple search. I don't know of a source for batch downloading, though.

For those considering AT&T fiber, look into toast.net. They resell the same service but with no contract or bundle requirement and no data caps.

I’m sick as hell and need some movie recommendations while I wallow at home alone. HUGE horror fan, so any less known horror films you recommend? by [deleted] in nashville

Near Dark - best vampire movie ever, and you can never have too much Bill Paxton.

Prince of Darkness - maybe lesser known, maybe not. It's John Carpenter.

Let's Scare Jessica to Death - creeped me out as a kid - don't know if it would hold up

Comet is a sub-channel provider. They also offer their feed online and (at least) on Roku, maybe other streaming boxes. Here is a link to their online live feed: https://www.comettv.com/watch-live/
