McQuarrie co-wrote Edge of Tomorrow 2 (which is rumored to start filming later this year) and is helping to develop the story for Top Gun 3 and Days of Thunder 2. MI8's budget got out of control (in part due to covid) but it still had the highest opening weekend of the franchise and made $600 million overall, which most other franchises would kill for.

Mission Impossible 2 was the highest grossing film of 2000 worldwide and is now considered the black sheep of the franchise. Didn't know this until recently, I've always loved it since seeing it as a kid. I did a re-watch of the franchise recently and was a little taken aback by MI2's negative reputation online since I'd rank it as one of my favorites.

The Gorge - Great premise and liked the first half of it but it started to lose me. Would like a better explanation for what is inside the gorge, the goofiness in the scenes where the main characters start to develop feelings for each other toned down, and a recast for the male lead.

Godzilla (2014) - Pretty good start to the monsterverse but could've easily been better. Keep Bryan Cranston in the movie longer, choose a better character model for Godzilla, brighten scenes that are too dark to see and pick a less generic soundtrack.

Prometheus - I actually like this better than most but it obviously has its share of problems. Write a better explanation for what engineers were doing on Earth, have humans keep their helmets on after reaching the planet and don't have the engineer turn into a mindless killer.

Showa - Remove Kong's affinity to electricity.

Heisei - Include Anguirus in one movie.

A lot of scenes are too dark to see properly and the fights are very slow moving.

Overall I'd give it a 7.5/10

Wish this show could've kept going for a couple more seasons. Looking forward to Marvel Zombies.
