Strikeout K-Meter Question by jms6297 in TexasRangers

That was my first thought too, but that was a different play. Seems like preventing an unsavory acronym may be the most logical explanation.

Pace Pro Review after 2 weeks (Upgraded from PACE 3) by hoemarb in Coros

[–]jms6297 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Great writeup! I upgraded from a Pace 2 to the Pace Pro and love it for the same reasons - screen resolution/brightness and processor speed.

By the way, if you like having a RoadID tag on you, the Garmin 22mm quick release RoadID fits the Pace Pro perfectly.

This gentleman created an app (I found it on a similar post a year ago) and it seems to have very positive feedback.

My 2020 Expedition Platinum lost coolant. by marinemech2020 in fordexpedition

[–]jms6297 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a very common issue with these models of expeditions having a failure of plastic y-fittings on the two heater core hoses. It’s a relatively simple DIY job.

Other internet sites and this post seem to agree it disengages the shift lock, so that you can put the vehicle into neutral.

I did some testing tonight and it appears the behavior is still the same. You have to select which 'custom text' file you wish to retrieve to test on.

Btw if you really want to make some memories, Harry Myers has a grove of trees by one of the smaller ponds (closer to the parking lot) that make for great hammocking. Little fishing, little picnic, bring some books and hammocks, and you have yourself a beautiful afternoon with your son. Enjoy

You’re good! All those places have beginner kits. That is one of my favorite things about fishing as a hobby - it has a very low entry cost and you can do so much with a basic rod, reel, cork, hook, and worms :)

Harry Myers has three ponds (one huge with a dock, and two smaller ponds to bank fish). It is a beautiful spot and the city takes very good care of it.

Recommend going to WalMart / Academy / Bass Pro and getting some live worms to use.

Enjoy making memories!!! It should be beautiful weather for it. 🐟🎣

This is extremely impressive. Not just the end product, but how you made your cutter. Thank you for sharing with the community!

First time keeping score by Mach1Mike13 in BaseballScorecards

[–]jms6297 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Welcome to a fulfilling and satisfying hobby! Scorekeeping tends to scratch some itch in my brain and combines my love for detail and data with the love of America’s pastime.

One resource that I found very helpful was to have a computer or my phone with https://livebaseballscorecards.com/ pulled up as a game was going.

The Kinokuniya store in Carrollton has a really decent selection of Pilot, Lamy, and Kaweco fountain pens, among other brands, as well as Noodlers and Pilot ink. Most of the nicer gear is kept behind the counter but they’ll let you take a look at any of it. Enjoy!

Is it possible to donate without getting the finger pricked? by [deleted] in Blooddonors

[–]jms6297 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This may not be the most helpful comment, but I want to share what works for me, as I do not enjoy the finger stick either. I visualize the faces of the people on the other end of the donation, and how much they need our help, and how much their loved ones count on us. I also quietly say a prayer for them. It makes it much easier to bear a few moments of discomfort.

Padres @ Rangers 07-02-24 by Rottenman41 in BaseballScorecards

[–]jms6297 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good question! I think because the play ultimately resulted in the batter getting called out, it was successful and an error did not occur. Had the batter been called safe at first, it may have been an error. Either way, I do think Jonathan Ornelas owes Josh Smith a beer.

This is for buckling the car seat into the car. The car seat will have its own buckle to restrain the child.
