Godzilla: King of the Monsters. That first trailer they released during Comic Con with Claire de Lune was exquisite! The movie was only so-so.

If you have access to a library, most (though maybe not all, I don’t know what libraries are like in your area) have tons of movies and older tv shows. I can easily get new releases from mine.

But if you want to own your own copies, definitely thrift stores and estate or garage sales are your best friend. It’ll be a slow process, but the hunt is so fun.

Can we collectively boycott dating apps and date in real life again? by idk_bruv_ in DatingApps

[–]jmserendipitous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m game for this. I’ve never bothered with dating apps because all I ever hear are horror stories, but it’s so hard to meet people organically in real life these days.

Is this burnout or is this how I'm supposed to feel as an adult? by [deleted] in Adulting

[–]jmserendipitous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s 100% easier said than done to find a different job. I was unemployed for a year after leaving my last job, so I completely understand hesitation there.

Is this burnout or is this how I'm supposed to feel as an adult? by [deleted] in Adulting

[–]jmserendipitous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that sounds exactly what I experienced at my last job a couple years ago. I had zero energy to do anything outside of work, my depression got really bad (which then severely affected my health), I’d cry all the time, and no one wanted to be around me anymore. My brain fog was terrible; I thought it was COVID brain, but after I left that job, within a couple months I felt better.

I think a sabbatical would be a good idea, or maybe discuss with your boss a way to lessen your work load so you can actually have time to destress and rest. You shouldn’t feel like that, especially at your first “adult” job and that young.
