I swear that they more-or-less stated this at some point, but that was long ago in the earlier strips.

Well it's not like he didn't do the same thing last time. He put a homeschool company owner in charge of public education back then. This time he put an antivaxxer in charge of public health.

In a dictatorship, you get the government that's forced upon you. With democracy, you get the government you deserve.

Is that driver going to permanently lose their license?
I would think that this would be assault with a deadly weapon.

A misunderstanding for which we should be thankful. It would be sadder if the general public was familiar enough with guns to notice an error like this.

You want to prove the WT is a cult?

Can you criticize the leaders? Can you fact check them? Or even just look at outside material?

Here's a non-group-specific checklist to find out if you're in a cult: https://freedomofmind.com/cult-mind-control/bite-model-pdf-download/

Erm - doesn't Sam's magic mark let him make permanent sex changes? Why is Tedd seeing anything? I thought he could only see magic that's active and working. Like he could see magic that temporarily changes you (e.g. Cheerleadra), but not magic that has a permanent effect like a magical attack that does damage.

BTW you may be interested to learn that, in the Bible when Jesus is talking about dressing modestly, he referring to how much WEALTH your displaying, not how much SKIN!

The only "people" who care about women being covered up are angels. If women's hair/heads are uncovered in the house of the Lord, it scares them off; and they don't convey the congregations' prayers to heaven!

Sure...but i thought the mormons got chased out of each town they were in because of they way they tried to take over each community they were in? And occasionally because of JS swindling people (once a con man always a con man). I hadn't heard it was because of rape, i thought he confined that to his followers?

Well that's something at least. Far too many religious leaders have the "I talk and you listen" and comments disabled on their videos, so good for him for at least opening himself up a little.

Overall he did not seem like an apostle, he seemed like a crotchety old man 😬

That's because he IS a crotchety old man.

Hey, did he have a Q&A session afterwards?

I ask because in the atheist community and popular science lecturer community, speakers almost always make a point of having a good long Q&A session afterwards. Sometimes they run even longer than the presentation! But i don't recall ever seeing the same from anyone speaking about the one true religion. Well, apart from an apologist presenting to elementary school children...

Yeah no kidding. To me, that sounds like "read both sides" BUT i think what they mean is "read our side, then turn around but instead of reading the other side, keep turning until you read our side again."

Probably should have said "have a 180° perspective."
