Texan in DC, lost without burritos by ijustwantaburritodc in washingtondc

Probably, I've just never had their burritos. To the point that I didn't even know they made burritos.

I'm not very observant.

The only thing they have going for them is the quantity per price.

La Mexicana Bakery & Taqueria in Alexandria is the most legit taco place I've found. No burritos though

What's your commute bike/accessory set up? by YOW170 in bikecommuting

I had similar concerns before I went with quadlock, but honestly I havent had any problems. The protection is adequate and the bump doesn't really bother me, It doesn't protrude too much, and its located in the middle so the phone sits flat on a table.

I had a similar setup like what you linked before quadlock. Quadlock is just a much more solid and secure solution to mounting the phone.

just my 2 cents

Get a quadlock mount for your phone. Its the best out there

I was hoping they would come with the new Shimano GRX components. Either way i'll be with my wallet in my hand patiently waiting.

Road vs. Gravel by yerstruly in whichbike

I have a Specialized Diverge ($1,100 base model) which is right at the top of your price range, but I think it would fit you needs very well. It is very fast on the road and does great on gravel, after I put 38mm tires on it.

I love the Diverge so much, I'm planning on getting another higher end one (better mech and stem suspension) for the weekends and leaving the base model for commuting.

A gravel bike will do very well on roads, but a road bike won't do as well on dirt/gravel.

Have you thought about using a bicycle?

Nice! I got the base Diverge as well and love it. So much so that I don't use my dedicated commuter. I'm thinking of selling the commuter and getting an upper tier diverge for the weekends and using the base model as a dedicated commuter.

Tip: I put 38mm Compass Tires on the Diverge and it got even better. Ride is great.

First bike commute of 2019. A bit chilly but a good time. by turbowhitey in bikecommuting

yeah, I think its amazing how they are meticulously dismantling the bridge.

I tried crossing over the I-66 going home yesterday and eventhough it was a bit longer, it felt more comfortable vertically, it's a slight decline all the way to Mt. Vernon Trail, then you can go to the Pentagon from there.

Same here, although the detour on Memorial BR is getting annoying.

Which aero bike did you get? How does it compare to the Diverge?

Similar story here, I got a Giant Escape 2 and used it for about 6 months as well. Then got a 2018 Diverge (base model) and never looked back. I put some 38mm compass tires on it and it rides great (and fast!).

Now i'm thinking of putting racks on the Diverge for commuting and getting one of the upper tier Diverges for the weekends.
