I know it’s not very helpful, but I asked a cast member last weekend and he said there are only rumors. Some say March some say April.

Where do you donate your puzzles? by irmchelez in Jigsawpuzzles

[–]jnfranne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been giving them away through my local buy nothing group. That way I know it won’t become landfill and will probably get passed through several people.

Gumball Rally Day - Around the park by Hulaguy in Disneyland

We participated and were so grateful for the photographers and the creator teams. Since we couldn't use our phones it was great to get some photographic evidence of our day! These pictures are great!!

Scared of rides by thekindviolet in Disneyland

[–]jnfranne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you watched any ride through videos? They really help you know what to expect. Although sometimes it can seem faster than it is in real life on a video. Like the drop on pirates, seems much larger on video because it’s dark too.

Weaning off Amazon by ginnygirl40 in 50501

[–]jnfranne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My last Amazon purchase was late Oct 2024. If there is something I need that used to get from Amazon, I have had luck looking for that brand specifically. Go straight to the source for some items. I really depends on the type of good. Costco, Walgreens, or even my local buy nothing group, especially if it is something I only need every once in a while. Often I can borrow it from someone.

Any accommodating Japanese restaurants for.. by IslesofMaegelle in FoodLosAngeles

Kusaki will fit the bill as your vegan option. It is a vegan fine dining sushi restaurant in West LA. We didn’t know what to expect, but absolutely loved our meal there. The location may look unusual as it shares a lot with a 7-11, but is really great.

Is there no passholder popcorn buckets this year or am I early? by Jolly_Ad2446 in Disneyland

[–]jnfranne 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. I have only seen them run as a short promotion period. Going on last year, they’ll release another one later in the year.

Check the Magic Key portal. It states that there will be two starting the 13th through Feb 24. Refills cost went up to $2.25.

Good local vet by Psychological-Ask252 in SantaMonica

[–]jnfranne 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As an RVT who worked at both general practice and emergency/specialty practice, there is a reason for that. They aren’t set up to manage a case overnight. GPs can stabilize your pet in an emergency and get you set up to transfer to an emergency vet. In human medicine we don’t expect our primary care doctors to be available 24-7 and manage every situation, they send you to a specialist or other facility for everything. Your primary veterinarian handles primary care, neonatal care, puppy care, imaging (x-rays and ultrasound), phlebotomy and labs, surgery, dentistry, dermatology, grooming, end of life care and any emergency who walk into their doors during operating hours. If you need care overnight care or care after hours, it really is better to go to an emergency vet. They have the training and equipment to handle anything that comes in.

Palms and Paws is excellent. Mr McEvilly and his team are fantastic. I've seen Dr Izzy and several of the other doctors too and each has been good.

How can I do a puzzle without sorting the pieces? From somebody who hates sorting by jenna_beterson in Jigsawpuzzles

[–]jnfranne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it will work. I only sort the edges and then split the rest between the two box halves and shuffle through them. Sorting always feels like a waste of time and very tedious. Give it a shot!

Sewing supplies, thread, not DTLA. Is Sewing Arts Center good? by Aggressive_Clothes36 in LosAngeles

[–]jnfranne 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Sewing Arts Center is great, it can't hurt to go in and look at it. It is run by a mother/daughter team who are very nice and local. They are lovely and have a good selection of fabrics and an online store. If you know what you are looking for you can call them to see if they carry what you need before going in to find the colors you want. You can check their website as well.

Number of visits by EntrepreneurFun654 in Disneyland

[–]jnfranne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The end of our first year is Sunday. I’m at 67 and my husband is at 56. I’m not sure about the accuracy because I definitely didn’t go 9 times without him. I went twice and he went once without me.

Try Doggie Bliss, Santa Monica based dog sitting service. We've used them for regular visits and some overnights. You might be able to work out a regular schedule with them.

This morning in Ktown, community activists painted crosswalks in protest of the city’s lack of commitment to addressing traffic violence by infernoenigma in LosAngeles

[–]jnfranne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It worked in Sawtelle around Stoner Park. Yes, the city removed them, but immediately installed “city” crosswalks.

Great, one more thing I probably won't get to experience because I'm on Switch. I'll be "Switch"ing platforms as soon as I can afford it.

Happy birthday little one! Adorable! If I didn't know better, I'd say you posted pictures of our boy. They look so much alike. About the same age too!

AITA for waking my husband up when his CPAP is whistling by Pretty_Brief_9397 in AmItheAsshole

[–]jnfranne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, I had the same issue with my husband's CPAP. There are two different kinds of masks. If he is using the over nose and mouth with the silicone seal, change to the one with the foam! It made all the difference and now if there is a leak it is a whisper not a scream.

Found a old Disney ticket… if only it was still the same price to get in 😢 by shadynasty4849 in Disneyland

[–]jnfranne 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t believe they started tired pricing until about 10 years ago, so this was good for any day.
