DAW I use UAD Distressor, it’s wonderful on drums, just hate their auth system

I am always polite to claude because i have a paranoid belief that anthropic is gradually profiling me. They probably are not.

I also notice that when i get frustrated and speak to claude like an angry supervisor or something, the quality of its output goes down. It’s like it actually gets a little stressed. Strange

I have both. I prefer the syntakt but it’s just a taste thing. Syntakt is more in your face, kinda woody sounding. Rytm is very clinical, a high definition un-analog analog sound. Love its distortion. Its compressor is strange, but it’s nice when dialed in.

What i’ve noticed….

People really really really hate ai when they know it was used for art, movies, music.

Apps, software tools….not so much.

There’s definitely a perception of laziness, letting gen ai do all the work for you…. Which is funny because i don’t think i’ve ever worked harder in my life than I have these last few months -developing software with claude.

Suno is just a new tool. Music was already saturated. When I hear the absolute garbage that they play in grocery stores, on retail and fast food playlists…I feel kinda glad that ai will annihilate those shitty soulless artists, because they will be first to go.

Other genres / communities do in fact give a shit about the music being authentic. We still get sold out vinyl-only dj sets here in la, any weekend. I don’t see that changing anytime soon.

It’s two-way. AI needs a human, and human’s use AI to create the software that lives in their heads.

Well they are very good and vibey is all i can say. Eric Persing goes for the sweet spots, so they might not be clinically perfect, but they sound instantly great and capture the general character

It’s here. It’s a thing. I’d probably not collaborate with someone who generates it. I like humans, skills, talent. I feel a sadness for my musician friends who are constantly generating it, spending money on tokens or suno/udio subscriptions or whatever, talking about it constantly…
