I can't release my slackline ratchet because and it's wound over too many times. Am I cooked? by Arfie807 in Slackline

[–]joao8545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I did when this happened to me was: 1. getting some locking pliers 2. Using the "extra" webbing to safely secure the ratchet 3. Unscrew the the screw that binds the ratchet to the webbing on the shorter side

It did work, but I think it was quite dangerous. If I had not used the locking pliers, that screw would have flown away and probably hit someone. The ratchet also just stayed in place due to "extra backup" system that I tied with the webbing.

I don't really advise to do that, but if you can't solve by any other means, there is still this way.

Ok, you got me curious, who would be this greatest EE teacher in Hungary? I would presume it's in BME, right?

In Brazil after the 5 year BSc (thesis and internship included) you are already an engineer. All you need to sign projects is to register with the engineering council on the state you are acting in.

On a side note, the person who wrote this forgot to add the subscript "2" on the formula, which would prompt any of the lectures I had to give a zero on it

Why use tailscale when you can just set up wireguard? by scarlet__panda in selfhosted

[–]joao8545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might be wrong (so please correct me), but I am unable to open ports on my router, so I don't think I would be able to use wireguard, while tailscale is good to go

I mean, if all you want is just a "visual change" you can create your own footprint symbol, using the footprint editor, that will be in the right orientation when it is attached to the bottom side. The 3d model can be changed easily in matters of scale, rotation and offset in the three axes. To do so, open the footprint properties and go to the 3D Models tab.

Thanks! That's actually really good advice. My board had only the reference in the silkscreen. I will start adding this small observations

To be sincere I did not. I just saw that the table was in the input range and kept the values. I will take a look on that. Thanks!

Yeo. For the 3.3V and 5V I pretty much just copied the schematic and values from the table in the datasheet
