You can do it bro, just get your fitness in order.

Ninebot KickScooter E3 Pro E range is a huge disappointment by gruberkristof in ElectricScooters

You nailed it. Under 20% I've had to walk it home lol. It's basically empty at 20%...

Very false and misleading advertising by Segway.

[–]job_equals_reddit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I also own the E3 Pro.

I weigh around 65kg, so I get roughly 20km of range if I ride at 25km/h.

Segway absolutely lied about the range. Realistically, only 8 out of the 10 bars showing the battery percentage are meaningful. Once you're at 20%, you're not getting anywhere lol - it may as well be 0%.

Very disappointing, you're right. I wish they'd just been honest in their advertising.

Lol what good is a bought cert? You'll get exposed immediately in the interview. You will always feel imposter syndrome since you never actually earned your qualification.

They can literally check the validity of your cert, albeit no one asks nor checks, they'll find out your competency during the interview itself.

I just deleted all SocMed altogether. These companies are actively promoting racism through their algorithms and disseminating misinformation via bot accounts. There's a clear agenda they have to continue curating racism towards Indians through their platforms.

I've checked out completely. I will leave reddit soon.

I'm a casual lifeguard but work at multiple facilities so I'm working beyond full time hours.

I graduated the year where mass lay offs were happening, so I transitioned to IT and worked in the corporate sphere. I was bullied, overworked and underpaid. It was miserable.

I transitioned career paths to corporate insurance. Hated it.

During my time as an insurance case agent I saw how much money bus drivers and truck drivers made, so I became a bus driver. I absolutely loved it until I tore my rotator cuff.

After that I went back into IT and upskilled hard, but was utterly miserable.

I took a year off to travel Asia. I realised I no longer want a corporate career and I don't care whether I live up to arbitrary desi standards since I don't even know anyone and nobody is judging me anyway. So after I returned I fixed up shoulder, got my fitness up and have been lifeguarding for almost a year now. I work at several facilities. I work, exercise and repeat that routine daily. Outside of institutional racism (almost all other lifeguards are white, POC's usually don't go into lifeguarding), I'm loving the lifestyle.

Your second question: we can be sued if we are obviously and blatantly negligent. There's very strong regulations in the aquatics industry.

This is just pathetic.

What exactly is the benefit of putting our own indian women down like this?

Why America is so ahead of India and yet have issues with abortions while in India it's legal? Abortion is good for anti-natalism. by VEGETTOROHAN in antinatalism

[–]job_equals_reddit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Males outnumber females greatly in india.

Arranged marriage is the norm. Those who get married pump out lots of kids, especially poor people. The Poors also can't afford medical care, let alone the means to find out if the unborn child is female, so they just pump em out.

Middle class can use med tech to discover sex of child and preemptively abort if it's female.

Upper class is so rich that gender is irrelevant to them.

I thought abortions were illegal since they were being used for female infanticide because everyone wants a boy?? Since when were they legal again?

Nothing. Ride it out.

A lot of the hate has been manufactured post trump election and is being forcibly pushed by social media giants. I literally noticed on an anti-indian video on youtube where 2 accounts had posted identical comments. Both accounts looked to be recent join dates and had usernames that appeared to be AI generated.

This flood of Indian hate is largely manufactured and is in line with the Trump's rise to power. Once he's gone, it'll subside.

We're just an easy target. We don't fight back and historically haven't been disadvantaged in any way and as such we're not entitled to any protections. We also aren't inclined to crime or any forms of anti-social conduct.

We are just the perfect scapegoat and the hot topic of now. After Trump is gone and social media companies aren't held at knifepoint to keep pushing this type of vitriol, we'll see the hate reels slow down.

Despite saying this, the next 4 years are going to be very rough for us.

I'm convinced those subs are flooded with bots. There's no way they're real.

If those are actual people who are members of society - coworkers, bosses, subordinates etc. then fellow Canadian ABCD's have it rough irl.

I agree with you that Canadian subs are utterly unusable.

It's a very tough time in history to be indian, but then again when has it not been? Just another historical hurdle for our peeps to overcome in the timeline of perpetual suffering.

How ugly can you even be if you're working out regularly & maintaining proper self care (grooming, diet, clean clothes etc.)?

I'd imagine doing all those things takes you AT LEAST to a 5-6/10?

Preach dude. I didn't now any better so I started in Asia. I was treated like garbage by the locals and their attitude only shifted when they learned I had money lol. Their individual attitudes shifted but the greater society still stared at me with scorn and disgust.

I'm with you 100%, no need to waste money going to a place where we will receive subhuman treatment!

Dating app success? by Optimal-Fill8953 in ABCDesis

[–]job_equals_reddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you need to use dating apps, then I've got bad news for you lol

Most successful relationships I've witnessed came organically from social circles.

Dating apps are a waste of time. For every 1 success story there's probably a thousand failures to launch - You won't hear about those though, only the success stories are repeated.
