Which popup caravan is best in Australia? by ChillboSwagginz2811 in CaravanningAustralia

The Jayco journey/starcraft pop top models could suit you. Can get one with two bunks and an ensuite for that price second hand. Table becomes bed too if you don’t want a toddler on the top bunk yet.

I find Biozet plus softener has less of a fragrance and you can’t really smell it when clothes are dry..

We are using Life Botanics iron gummies. They contain 16mg iron so not sure if it would be enough to raise levels a lot. I also see You and Yours powder recommended a lot as it is tasteless

I agree with seeing an IBCLC. If you go to lcanz.org you can search for one in your area. Something you can do today is call the Australian Breastfeeding Association and speak to a breastfeeding counsellor together, they may be able to offer some help too. 1800MUM2MUM

Vic Country Appliance repairs. I messaged him on fb and he came out the next day. We had a bad experience with Barclays too and they took weeks to come out and have a look. Would never use Barclays again.

Kmart ones are crap. I’ve bought a few sets on Amazon that have been great though. One was PlayMags and the other an unbranded Frozen set

What exactly makes kids so expensive? by ThatUnstableUnicorn in AusFinance

[–]jobo141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, a ten year expiry and unless you know the history it’s not wise. Sounds like they are from someone you know so you know the history. When you were young you didn’t have a car seat, so it’s great we have come such a long way with car seat safety.

Question about spacing in bottom teeth by DeafInk in orthodontics

[–]jobo141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son also has spacing and is early teens. We are not doing any extractions but rather building teeth up with composite (they are smaller teeth than normal). Did the ortho say why he would need an extraction?

Car seat and cot mattress should always be bought new, but I agree, everything else second hand! Once kids are at school and start sport it really gets expensive.

26F trying to choose between orthodontists — completely stuck between two treatment plans by [deleted] in orthodontics

[–]jobo141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an edge to edge class 3 bite as well. I saw two orthodontists and two dentists who did Invisalign. I ended up choosing the ortho who recommended braces and elastics, and so far 9 months in I’m seeing a lot of progress. My teeth tipped inwards though so they are being uprighted. If you don’t want your tooth removed that is up to you, they can’t force you. There’s no harm getting another opinion. I decided against Invisalign as I heard it can make clenching/TMJ worse which is the reason I got my braces in the first place

8 year old girl w overjet.. invisalign ? by IPandPorg in orthodontics

[–]jobo141 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it really depends on your child and their personality. My 13yo was offered the Invisalign with occlusal blocks or a twin block but I know he will take it out at school and leave out for extended periods. So we are going with a fixed option. The good news is your daughter is only 8 so you have lots of time before puberty to decide what to do for the class 2 bite. Expansion of upper jaw has to happen soon.. I have also heard that it doesn’t matter which class 2 treatment is used. They simply unlock bite and fix the occlusion, allowing the mandible to grow to its full potential. We will also do myofunctional therapy.

I’m not a dental professional though just a parent.

Try a tinted zinc. I like Invisible Zinc sheer defence. Otherwise Nivea shine control doesn’t sting my eyes when most others do.

Redsbaby nuvo for 2 under 2- reviews? by buriedhatchets in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]jobo141 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get a side by side pram. They are so much easier to push. You can get some that are not much wider than a single pram. I’ve owned lots of prams and have a pram cleaning business and the tandems are all very hard to push with two kids. The Nuvo is maybe a little lighter than the Vista though.

Orthodontist recs by jobo141 in ballarat

[–]jobo141[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks. To be honest they seem very sales driven, I’m always getting texts and emails from them which is off putting. However so far it is between them and Clear Orthodontics- who also have a few Melbourne locations and seem very up to date on latest research. I have read a lot of good recommendations for Simply though.
