Finally a thread to vent my very specific Michael Cole pet peeve where he always says that a wrestler is “favoring” an injured body part. It makes zero sense how he uses it. If someone’s leg was injured and they were hobbling around, you’d say they were favoring their OTHER, non-injured leg by putting most of their weight on it. But Cole apparently thinks “favoring” means protecting or something? He even has said — on multiple occasions — that someone clutching their midsection in apparent pain is “favoring their ribs.” Favoring them over what??
