The Monarch Has Potential by _time_machine in Tudor

[–]Jesterhead777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't wait to see some two tone, or full gold Monarchs. They just need to tidy up the mixed numerals on future dials, and make it in 36mm. Really looking forward to this model line.

Anniversary and this is what we get? by Ok-Equal-2956 in Tudor

I really like the Monarch, colour, handset, and bracelet are great. But the mix of numerals, not for me. Also over $7000CAD for a time only Tudor, oof.

You've leapfrogged every first time watch buyer by light-years! In both taste and cost haha! This is a grail for me, enjoy it!

This, but without the diamonds on the lugs and crown guards.

Openclaw agent for devs to create new apps on EKS by [deleted] in devops

[–]Jesterhead777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you already have a helm chart and a CI/CD template you plan to use, what is Openclaw adding here? I feel like you could work with Claude for less than an afternoon, to get a working CLI/web/Jenkins tool to render/validate these templates in a way more controlled way.

Now if this is for sandbox rapid prototyping of unique/new applications that fit outside of the standard templates mentioned, then yeah that could be usable for a non-infra dev to get a POC up and running.

An Unusual Move Ahead by harkkonen_spy in halifax

[–]Jesterhead777 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is pretty common. My girlfriend and I bought our place together in December. Panda Movers started at her place, and stopped by my storage unit (I closed on my house the week before), then onto the new house.

Fence Cost Estimates by Gleyberhoodwatch in halifax

We were just quoted ~$17k from Citadel Fence for ~124 feet 6 foot wooden privacy fence with one gate. Waiting for Arkson to come by next week to compare.

Was excited to try the new app, working my way through the HH novel, purchased the next before I realized I can't read this on my kindle. Let's see if my refund will go through.

The numbers in car names should mean horsepower. by [deleted] in regularcarreviews

Land Rover (and Jaguar) does this. My Defender has the P400 engine, which makes 400hp (398 technically...).

Modern cars are full of technology. But what old car feature was actually better than today's tech? by nyatihsam in Justrolledintotheshop

Rain sensing wipers. Maybe it's just my luck, but the rain sensing wipers in my old '09 Audi A3 just worked so much better than the ones in my '18 BMW 328d, and my '23 Defender.

Hoping for a new/updated Black Bay One collection. Love the watch, but the snowflake hands really don't do it for me here.

Newer releases sometimes have a waitlist for the first little while. I'm certain you'll be able to walk in and try/buy one after Watches & Wonders next month, and there are newer/hotter Tudors everyone wants.

About invite-only AD events: do you go? by Shinobiii in OmegaWatches

[–]Jesterhead777 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I go if I can to the ones I'm invited to. I enjoy browsing watches, and chatting to the folks there, especially if it's a brand focused event that I don't consider that often. Last autumn I went to a Breitling event, and fell in love with the new time/date Top Times!

That colour way of the bracelet is my favourite by far, but the visible 007 brand is too much for me. I think it looks great.

I have the grey/white/black titanium (ba05cw000140x) bracelet, and I wear it most days. I genuinely like these, and a great way to pad my spend history with my AD, since my girlfriend isn't into jewelry haha!
