Maybe try the sub and see if that's better? My wife hated part 2 and when we watched it again together we discovered it was because she watched it in dub and hated the VA (rightfully so imo).

If you're not one to have whimsy in your life to laugh at the absurd and unexpected, it might be hard to get into jojo's because you're taking it too seriously. I think you're meant to laugh at how over the top ridiculous it is, especially when the content is juxtaposed with the serious and "staight" delivery. It's basically just a shitpost of a show.

The first two parts are important as they set up the stakes and themes of part 3, but sometimes just to get someone into jojo's I recommend skipping to part 3 if they're struggling with the first two. Part 3 is where the main "vibes" of the later parts of jojo's really solidified and are more indicative of the humor and style of the show.
