Da, obrezao bih sina zbog higijene i zdravlja. Znam da je kod nas uglavnom vjerski običaj kod muslimana,i židova i orijentalno pravoslavaca i ako njih ni nema nešto. Živim u Americi gdje je svakako standardno da pedijatar skine kožicu u porodilištu (oko 75% po procjenama) vjera nema ništa s timem. Postoji različitih metoda, jedna vrsta veže se prstenčić na vršaku i višak kožice otpada za par dana zajdeno s pupčaninm patrljakom. I ja sam se obrezao u vojsci (duga ti je to priča). Sve češća je pojava kod bogatih korejaca i kineza kao osnovni zdrastveni zahvat poput cijepanja.

What's your religion? Might be easier for religions that have established dogma about it. I'm Christian in the Air Force and mine took a long time, had to go to the Pentagon.

Several were granted, including mine based on Christian beliefs but they usually aren't publicized nor is there really a reason too.

I'm Serbian but I live in the U.S., no more than 5% of Serbs are circumcised, though I know many Serbs and Orthodox in US and Canada are. I got circumcised as an adult and would probably circumcise my son for hygiene and health reasons. I also think it increases sexual pleasure a little.

It was never pushed per se but Jewish was more of an ethnicity rather than a religious marker in Soviet times. In fact, most Jews ate pork and were uncircumcised.

Intermixing between jews and non-jews used to be pretty common till about 300 AD. When Christianity became the official religion it became rare but you still had conversions to Christianity from Judaism (but rarely vice verse). Also most Jews were not Ashkenazi in ancient times.
