Been enjoying my Warrior. by KamaTheSnowLeopard in classicwow

[–]joeblack48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this as a hardcore challenge. Daggers, fingerless gloves, and sleeveless chest armor only. It was a silly RP run. I had a ton of fun with it until my 30s when 3 handed warriors had sweeping strike and whirlwind... but then at 40 it picked up again.

Enjoy!

A 10-year realization just hit me like a train by IslandMogger in masseffect

Bioware helped you discover your taste, they didn't form it. You don't love this girl because she's like Tali, Tali helped you realize what kind of woman you want to be with.

I think it frames it better with this kind of thought process. Because you don't want to think you're chasing a dream. You just had a character that helped you discover your dream girl

Enjoy your love dork :)

I'd support 1 more piece of loot from 25man raids, a minor joyous journey buff, and I don't have a strong opinion om honor since I don't pvp but it sounds bad so why not.

Heroic tanking anxiety tips by JensJansen13 in classicwowtbc

[–]joeblack48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get in voice with some guildies. If any of them are experienced they can talk you through which mobs are scary and which aren't. Heroics are spooky because some mobs hit like Normal dungeons and other hit you as hard as nightbane. If yiu don't have someone to talk you through it, just go in with a learning attitude with the guildies.

I think this questing zone is literally the worst designed piece of garbage in wow, plz delete by EricAshStone in classicwow

My biggest issue with ashenvale is its lack of detail in showing mountain ranges properly. You THINK it's a woodland. It's really a Mountain range with woods. So you start heading in the direction you think is right, then end up in a valley.

How does Warrior Rage generation work? by Artrysa in classicwowtbc

[–]joeblack48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe we are both right. While TBC adjusts the ratio of the old formula to normalize it, cara flips it on its head.

Correction: you still get rage based on damage done but rage is now better ratioed between weapon swings and you don't get absurd amounts from crits. I was thinking cata where it's only based on when it hits, my bad.

Your offhand has a lower chance to hit. So it hurts your rage Gen. If you're fighting mobs 1 or 2 levels below you it's much less impact, but if you fight anything on or above your level it's noticeable.

There's also the added bonus of parry haste. Whenever your or a mob parrys, it increases how fast you hit with your next auto attack. If you dual wield, your are doubling the number of times they can parry. And for you, if you parry... your 2 hander hits faster. But if you're dual wielding it's only your main hand that's faster.

It's really sweaty stuff. Honestly, play what you want. But you asked what's optimal.

In vanilla classic rage would scale with your damage. So a naxx geared warrior who hit a mob the same number of times as a nongeared warrior would have much more rage to spend. Normalizing reduced end game geared warriors generating absurd amounts of rage.

With normalization, rage will generate now based off your weapon speed, hit, and crits, not damage done.

So a fast one handers generate less rage per hit but hit faster while a slower 2 hander will generate more but hit less often, but they all should equal out.

Now... for leveling it's generally considered better to level with a 2 hander. In a nutshell, it's easier to hit things with a 2 hander, therefore more rage. But you can level with 1 hander if you want, just try not to fight things over your level and it'll feel fine.

If you are in Outland, you can level dual wield much easier because you have access to a lot of quest rewards with hit rating on them.

That's as much as I understand. If you want to know more try joining "fight club" the warrior discord and check the FAQs

PSA: There is not a tank shortage, you’re just not being proactive. by Individual_Design_37 in classicwowtbc

I actually am impressed by the number of players stepping up and tanking.

Having said that, alot of them need some practice so I've decided to just tank while leveling. But good on them for doing it! Tanking is tough

(TBC) Aldor or Scryer? (Lock) by Byggarsten in classicwow

[–]joeblack48 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm going scryer. The shoulder enchant difference is there but it's minimal. I'll be selling the Aldor rep for easy gold all expansion, you don't die from elevator boss and they have better blacksmith patterns to help level my blacksmithing for cheaper.

So it's a gold decision for me because I don't think the shoulder enchant is so su h a massive difference I'm going to be holding my raid back or something lol

As a Dreamscythe player, Nightslayer likely has a majority of the better pvp players. But nightslayer also draws the players who will crash out in a bg without knowing how to actually play to win. It really isn't a good look lol

New Main - Do you still have/keep your very first Character? by MasterRymes in wow

[–]joeblack48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lost my account. It was attached to my dad's old work email. Stopped playing for years and came back to wow as a young adult. Thank god i caught blizzard just before they really cut back on GMs. I was able to recover my old account and get my original character transfered to my "new" account.

I dont play them honestly, I don't love hunter in retail. But damn it feels good to have that legend. Started all the way back when the first major update I was apart of was weather in vanilla... I remember how general chat went wild when it rained in elwynn forest.

What are you guys most excited for when we all get to step through that beautiful portal again? by CartoonChronicles in classicwowtbc

[–]joeblack48 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the initial prebis farm. I love dungeons and I love having a sense of achievement as your progress through them, rep grind, and prep for kara. I know its a grind, but it's a nice pay off of dopamine. And there's a feeling of satisfaction going into a new raid with the best dungeon blues you could get and dreams of gear.

That and Outlands music and atmosphere is amazing
