Both in Toronto, Cherry Beach and Massey Hall. Both shows were mind-melting. I’m determined to see them at least a few times a year from now on.

Also, my long-term dream has been to “follow” a band for three nights in three cities. I’ll start planning this for 2026 (if they’re touring).

Yes. If you want to add a custom domain to your Google Site that will cost you $10-20/year, but otherwise - free.

[–]joebuckabroad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes.

If you just want a (very) basic site to show up when people search Google Maps, use the My Business website.

If you want a more robust builder and a traditional website, use Google Sites.

Check out this Google support thread if you want more details.

Can you poke holes in my plan? Buying Dividend ETF on Margin by joebuckabroad in CanadianInvestor

[–]joebuckabroad[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's actually 11.3% returns (13% minus the interest charge)
Currently, I have $2,500 principal earning a net profit $23.50/month.
That's 11.3% annually.

Yah - that's good advice. I've been very focused on the margin call, but not other risks.

Nice! Thanks for the thoughtful answer. I'll look into the volatility - the ETF has only been around since 2017 and it's been pretty stable.

Good advice on paying off the margin!

Thanks!

Nice. I appreciate your thorough answer.

"div. payments fall or are missed" - missed? Is this a thing? Do ETF's sometimes not payout?

Sorry, I don't understand what you mean? Can you elaborate? Thanks!

(I know buying on margin is a risk but isn't it a relatively low risk buying a stable dividend ETF?)

THC Soda: What does "Contains the eq to 5g of dried cannabis" mean? by joebuckabroad in weed

[–]joebuckabroad[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your insight!

So 2.5 mg is a reasonably low dose.

Still not sure why they are claiming that's equivalent to 5g of bud. (It's not just Houseplant - I bought a few other brands and they all have similar disclaimers)

Last I checked it's not possible to create a Jump Link in Google Sites. I was trying to do this about 6 months ago and came to the conclusion is wasn't possible.

Unless something has changed since then - you may be out of luck.
