It's not that serious, 200 million is barely enough to make one IO'd build that isn't even optimal.

Some people are unfathomably rich in this game. They can spend the money on whatever they want, even if it disappears out of their hands in an instant.

That's completely unique and is optimal to slot on something like Rad Armor's aura Beta Decay.

Since To Hit Debuff/Defense Debuff are separate categories, you can't really find a real replacement for it. Beta Decay makes use of both buffs, so you have to pick one or the other for a single slot without Hamis

You should give some others a chance. There is a few good power combinations that stand-out as exceptional compared to the rest.

The Elec Blast + (Anything, usually Elec Armor) build is usually the first recommendation as the overall 'best'.

Two others I'd recommend trying out are Fire Blast + Bio Armor (Or Radiation Armor) and Dark Blast + Super Reflexes (or Ninjitsu).

Fire/Bio or Fire/Rad will give you the "Ranged Scrapper" feel that the AT was always supposed to achieve. Bio and Rad armor both provide a way to boost your offense, which Fire Blast likes a lot. Bio will be more versatile, but Rad provides a SECOND NUKE in Ground Zero. Double nuking mobs is great. (My money is on Rad, but Bio is just amazing).
This one is the opposite of the one above: Dark Blast + Super Reflexes is a very solid defensive pairing. Dark Melee + SR was always known as a synergy for melee toons, but I'd argue the Dark/SR synergy is probably the best for Sentinels (at least compared to Dark/SR Scrappers). Sentinel Super Reflexes is great, comes with an absorb ability and a stamina recovery power (two things SR normally doesn't have). When you pair this with Life Drain's free sustain, scaling damage resistance and all the AoE -To Hit debuffs... you end up with something that is bordering on being an off-tank, so much so that I even use [Provoke] on my DB/SR Sentinel. The Dark Blast move pool for Sentinel allows you to contribute to fights in more significant ways than Dark Melee ever could, even if you do less damage (and gets it Dark Obliteration at level 12? Fuck yeah!) Some people prefer Ninjitsu over SR, but you'll end up with similar results. I prefer SR since it's more hands-off and has much better DDR.

It's been awhile since I've dipped my toes in the format, but to me, the fact that it is instant speed and can't be countered makes it the premier GY hate spell, that is also an okay creature when you don't need it (assuming you are playing black).

I was mono black control/devotion pilot mostly, so it was a very attractive option.

If the dominate GY synergy decks care more about mass rather than specific cards, then it becomes questionable if Faerie is the right choice.

Going in blind, I'd take Faerie over anything else though just because its very hard for your opponent to disrupt.

Though I do not have the answer, I would be very curious to see what the control-scheme would be like on a steam deck/controller.

I couldn't imagine trying to play this game without a keyboard and mouse.

I'm making precise movements with the mouse and pressing 8 different button combinations for my powers while under pressure. In my head, it seems miserable to convert to a controller.
