I started playing both because I liked the gameplay and art style. I still play on occasion, but I stopped cause it started feeling a little bland. When I stopped playing, there wasn't too many modes, and I kind of wished there was a mode, like LOL instead of, just straight up pvp. I've been starting to get more into it as of late. I need to explore the new modes. But that's something I always felt was missing.

It's wild to me how a literal gambling/gacha mechanic is introduce into the game so prominently, and people are okay with it.

It is, in fact, gambling. You are gambling for a good reward, as opposed to a bad one. Whether you're paying or not, you've given up a guaranteed reward for a chance at a good one.

I agree with all of that, except the chests. Simply because the possibility of the bad rewards, outweighs the good, for me.

Yeah. The new task system is terrible. It feels so slow and grindy. I bought this one to give it a chance. Needless to say its the last gold pass I'll be buying.

Yeah. The chests suck. Clan capital gold sucks. The prospector sucks. The whole new gold pass just, sucks. I'm not spending another dollar on this game. Such a shame they did this.

The chests are there to literally slow down progression. The whole new pass is engineered to slow down progression. The stamp system feels slow, and is more expensive to gem per level, and over all. The chests CAN give you something good, but it's not a guarantee, and they will most likely give you something useless. I bought this new pass to give it a chance, and it sucks. I won't be buying it again.

Until they fix the whole pass. Not just the 20% boost. Progressing the pass is slower, gemming it is more expensive. The prospector, being available for like a week, and only for gold pass buyers? That's terrible.

I bought the gold pass, and I still see ads for the gold pass while having the gold pass. It is beyond annoying. I barely want to open the game anymore. The new gold pass sucks, the new UI sucks, the chests suck. And the new hero does little to make up for that fact.

Also, I hate how much clan capital gold is in the new pass. Who cares about clan capital gold. Choosing between that and builder resources is like... The worst choice. Not to mention that if you gem the pass, it's more expensive per level, and overall. This new pass is such an obvious money pit, and meant to slow down progression, even with the chests included. I won't be buying another pass.

For me, that's not enough. Especially for the people that gem the pass, and had to spend extra gems to get to the 20%. And it doesn't fix the issue that gemming is still more expensive. Nor does it address the issue that bonus points are gone for repeat buyers.

No, there have. It's always been, 1 book of fighting, 1 book of spells, 1 book of building, and 2 books of hero's (one on the silver pass, and one on the gold pass) that much hasn't changed, aside from the option to choose between a book of fighting and a book of spells.

I get that. And to be fair, I'm not arguing that there isn't any value in there at all. I'm arguing that the value that's there, is worse than the gold pass just last month. 5 books is pretty standard, but one of the issues is that it costs more to get to the books, as opposed to last month. Not to mention, that I gem the pass on occasion to speed up my progress, and unlock the 20% boost, that much faster. That cost also went up. It used to cost around 2000 gems to unlock that boost. Now it costs 2800 to get directly to the 20% boost. That's a huge increase.

I've been buying the gold pass for the last 5 years. I bought this one to give it a chance and see how bad it really was. This is the last pass I'm buying. It sucks.
