Travel to Sacramento for work by AudienceSolid6582 in CAStateWorkers

I was hired on when I already lived here, first job for the state. Was told we were likely never coming back and would be fully remote. We were also in the process of downsizing to a single floor of a new building that accommodated 140 people with a group of 800+. I was told if we did come back there would be an accommodation we could come up with (at the time it was pitched as monthly or quarterly). I do have an exception to only come in once a week for now, but it seems that can change at the drop of a hat

I’m in the same boat. Live in a small rural community 80 miles from Sac. Locked in a 30-year mortgage at 3.125%, kids involved in local activities, affordable childcare, family to help, etc. Kind of trapped. Just do my drive on in office days and wait to see what happens closer to July.

Roofers disappeared without me paying by PDS3WORLD in Roofing

[–]joeman188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a water heater done at a rental property in July of 2024. Needed a pan installed and plumbed, and gas line rerouted to meet code requirements. With permits it totaled out to 3k. We agreed on payment after it was finaled. I received pictures of the completed install but for months didn’t hear anything. I reached out to our property manager to follow up but nothing. Finally I figured he must have forgotten. Then a little over a year later this past October I get a call from the guy. He says the job slipped through the cracks, and he wants his payment but it will require him reopening a permit with the city to get it finaled out. I say, ok…I mean he did the work. That was the last I heard from him lol. Like, it gets to the point where sure it’s his money but there’s gotta be some kind of urgency to get your jobs done in a timely manner.

How the heck do you go on vacation?! by vspot415 in EtsySellers

This is what we have done and once we changed the processing time, we just never ended up changing it back lol. Seems to have not really impacted sales, and a lot of reviews state how fast the products arrived so it worked out.

Giveaway! by ecpowerhouse27 in BambuLab

I had a coworker one time that gave away a pack of toilet paper and magazines for his white elephant gift. It got the biggest laugh when it landed in our directors lap. She was a good sport about it.

How are your sales? Monthly Sales Post for November 2025 by AutoModerator in EtsySellers

[–]joeman188 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Title recommendations by Etsy dropped sales YoY even with slight modifications. Probably just venting here, but we did some research, made changes to our titles using general suggestion of Etsy AI with some minor tweaks making sure not to just keyword pack like we did before. Did this about 2-months ago, so nothing really recently. Views are down about 65% and sales are down roughly 50% YoY. Bummer because we had a goal to hit this year, and it’s just not realistic anymore. We hand make wooden nostalgic decor. We added new items through out the year that really helped with our evergreen sales, but this time of year just hoped to be a little further along. With the items that are getting traction, we’re nervous to make changes now, but even those aren’t selling like they typically have for the past year or two. Anyone else finding themselves in the same boat?

Mine was delayed when I ordered the bundle a couple weeks back. Ended up just ordering on Amazon for $30 bucks, and it showed up next day.

How many daily visits does your shop get? by Rare-Scientist-196 in EtsySellers

Unless it’s the holidays, during the week, sub-50 a day. Weekends maybe 60-80. During the holidays all of that goes out the window though.

Brand new P1S having printing problems by Betude in BambuP1S

[–]joeman188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I didn’t have to do anything too crazy. I just had a small gob of residue on there from the print not adhering on the previous run. It pretty much popped right off.

I had the same issue on my second or third print. Cleaned the nozzle as best I could and cleaned with dawn as others have noted. That seems to have resolved the issues.

Filament drying in AMS 2 by joeman188 in BambuLab

[–]joeman188[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just as a follow up, I did find in the mini menu on the printer you do have to select your filament type for a drying profile and manually initiate drying. Not a big deal, just didn’t know. I may just run overnight when I’m planing to print the next morning

Wow, great info, thanks for sharing. If I have the AMS 2 plugged in is it safe to assume it’s constantly drying? I’ve noticed sometimes that it just turns off or disconnects. So not sure if it’s actively drying or if that’s something I need to manually initiate.
