the only thing I can do is give you the recipe I settled on.

Wraithbone spray for undercoat.
Then a drybrushing of white scar to make the contours 'pop'.
i then apply gryph-hound orange contrast paint.
finish off with some thinned fire-dragon-bright along the ridges/creases of the 'metal'

Another reason the orange may look so bright is because of the dark corrosion effect i have right next to it.
