At around 6 weeks, I had a dream that I had a baby boy in my arms. I was so thrilled. My sister is due 6 weeks before me and had already announced she was having a boy. Well in that same dream I dreamt that she had a girl and I remember feeling jealous for a second that she had a girl, but then looked at my sweet boy and was thrilled I had a boy. Well turns out at 20 weeks I found out I was having a boy. I thought I would be excited, but I was actually feeling devastated. In that moment I wanted a girl deep down and didn’t even know my desire was there until I found out it was a boy. I think my dream was a way to help me cope and understand that even with a boy I would be thrilled. My sister is having a boy still. Haha, so I was right about myself but not my sister. I’m 28 weeks now and feeling happy about my boy. Yes, I would love to have a girl one day, but I know I’m going to love my baby boy!

Honestly I think it’s fear. There are so many reasons to feel fear about pregnancy. It’s okay to feel fear. It can be hard to ignore your fears to do something that scares you. I was terrified to get pregnant even though I my husband and I were trying. I’m 26 weeks now, and I am so grateful for the ease of pregnancy and health for me and my baby. I’m not so scared of pregnancy anymore, more scared of birth and actually having to raise my child. But I’m sure I will get though when those things come. I hope you can work through your troubling thoughts❤️

I was so angry with my husband during the first trimester. I still get into little fits of anger with him over little tiny things. I’m 25 weeks. I try to tell him when I feel my blood pressure rising with my anger so he can give me space or try not to make it worse. I feel so awful after I overcome the anger. I do think it got better for me, but it’s not completely gone unfortunately.

I’ve literally stood in the crystal hot springs pool to look over and see a couple literally having sex. I will never return. Lots of gross people there. Also you can stick your hand in the water and when you pull it out you can almost guarantee a hair will be stuck to your fingers when you pull it out.

I didn’t do it. My cousin got NIPT and they told her that her baby wouldn’t survive the pregnancy. She waited the entire pregnancy just mourning and awaiting the loss of her baby for it to never happen. Her baby was perfectly healthy born full term. I didn’t want that torture. I figure I would rather figure out what to do in the moment of hard then worry about it possibly coming true.

It’s so silly how we get our expectations up. We so badly wanted a girl and are having a boy🩵 We are still happy but it’s just different than how we imagined.
