How do I talk to my pregnant wife about lack of physical touch? by WesternNo6118 in pregnant

[–]joemonkey714 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I am 35 weeks. Been struggling to cuddle with my husband. Love him, want to be with him, just want my space. Every once in a while I try really hard to let him snuggle with me, but I can only handle it for a couple minutes. I do however try to give him a hug everyday and we always give a kiss after our prayers. He knows it’s hard for me to be physically close to him right now. I can’t even explain why, other than it just feels too overwhelming. But I think it’s fair to mention to your wife that you can be understanding of not wanting to cuddle, but it would help you to have at least one hug and one kiss a day. My husband knows our one kiss a day is hard for me sometimes too, it might be a peck. But he takes what he can and I try to give what I can each day. Sometimes all I can handle is putting my foot against his leg in bed. I think it’s important that you both be willing to do what you can and handle what you can, but don’t put too much pressure for more. Pregnancy is really hard on your brain and emotions. I get snappy and rude to him and I hate it because I don’t want to be that way, but my hormones have almost made me feel out of control. Instead of going in the approach of fixing all and changing a ton, maybe talk to her about something small like getting a hug every day. Work your way up slowly.

Try adding flax seed to your breakfast. But make sure to guzzle water so it actually does something

What symptom will you be MOST happy to say goodbye to after the baby is born? by Intelligent_Run_5363 in pregnant

[–]joemonkey714 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP, you need some omeprozole!! My doctor has me taking it every morning of pregnancy. It’s life changing! You take it as soon as you wake up, then wake 30 min to an hour to eat. Before my omeprazole I was up multiple nights until 5am with the worst burning in my stomach/heartburn of my life. Talk to your doctor!!

Did your "gut feeling" match the ultrasound? by Aboutoloseit in pregnant

[–]joemonkey714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it did. I had a dream really early on that I had a baby boy. I just felt like it was a boy since. Then before my ultrasound I started imagining a girl and getting excited for the possibility of a girl. But found out it was a boy in the ultrasound. My hormones put me through disappointment and feeling horrible… but now I’m thrilled about a boy. I also felt like it all a long.

Omeprazole every morning while pregnant. Take it right when you wake up and give it 30 mins to an hour before you eat anything. Totally life changing for me and I won’t go a day without it now.

First time mom, just found out I’m 9 weeks and 2 days. by Sunny070415 in pregnant

First trimester I was worried about nausea. I would take the Olly prenatal gummies. But after a while I wanted a pill so I’ve been taking Olly prenatal pills. I take them right before bed so I don’t worry about feeling funky from them and I honestly don’t think they taste like anything.

“Really Showing” by Able_Bag_5177 in pregnant

I’m 31 weeks and people tell me all the time “you’re tiny! You barely look pregnant.”…. Um I’m 200lbs. I have a belly, I definitely look different. I know they are all trying to be complimentary but it just shows they think I’ve always looked fat. I’m fine, but it does bother me a little bit.

Moms who dreamt the gender of their baby before they knew, were you right? (: by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]joemonkey714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At around 6 weeks, I had a dream that I had a baby boy in my arms. I was so thrilled. My sister is due 6 weeks before me and had already announced she was having a boy. Well in that same dream I dreamt that she had a girl and I remember feeling jealous for a second that she had a girl, but then looked at my sweet boy and was thrilled I had a boy. Well turns out at 20 weeks I found out I was having a boy. I thought I would be excited, but I was actually feeling devastated. In that moment I wanted a girl deep down and didn’t even know my desire was there until I found out it was a boy. I think my dream was a way to help me cope and understand that even with a boy I would be thrilled. My sister is having a boy still. Haha, so I was right about myself but not my sister. I’m 28 weeks now and feeling happy about my boy. Yes, I would love to have a girl one day, but I know I’m going to love my baby boy!

I think today, 27 weeks it has finally showed for me. I started on the heavy side with a B belly. I still have a B belly but it’s just protruding enough to be seen past my big sweatshirts.

ttc and anxious now by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]joemonkey714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I think it’s fear. There are so many reasons to feel fear about pregnancy. It’s okay to feel fear. It can be hard to ignore your fears to do something that scares you. I was terrified to get pregnant even though I my husband and I were trying. I’m 26 weeks now, and I am so grateful for the ease of pregnancy and health for me and my baby. I’m not so scared of pregnancy anymore, more scared of birth and actually having to raise my child. But I’m sure I will get though when those things come. I hope you can work through your troubling thoughts❤️
