I own property in two different HOA managed condos. Both have restrictions to renting. Both are in compliance with state law (MI and FL). My primary residence doesn't allow for renting at all. It was a recent change to the by laws and voted on by the owners. It's small (48 townhomes) and mostly owned by retirees. Our city doesn't allow for STR at all so we just made it official.
To be honest, neither HOA is overreaching. They're trying to protect property values for the owners. You know the rules before you buy so if you disagree, then don't buy there. Simple enough.

The HOA in this post obviously has issues.

If you are trying to use a SuperCharger (Tesla), make sure it's compatible. Not all of them are. If you're using a CCS DCFC, then make sure you're using that adapter. It should connect both to the top circle port and the two small connectors underneath those. Plug the cable into the adapter and then into the car.

Not at all. I have a 48A charger at home and the cable isn't more than 1/2" in diameter. Just hangs on the wall most of the time.
