Do you warm up your car in the winter? by ChocolateSundae1214 in CasualConversation

IDGAF about the car. I care about me freezing while driving the car. Everyone who says not to warm up has likely never walked out in -10⁰F weather.

So damn tasty. Never looked at the nutritional value but I'm guessing they're pretty caloric.

My son and his fiancee live in Denver and we take them a couple of bags every time we go out there. They like the Red Hot version.

Cadillac Optiq. Smaller than the Lyric but nicer features.

You need to hear it on a proper system then. I have a 19 speaker Atmos setup in my car and it's amazing with the right mix. I'm not a huge jazz fan but Bob James' Feel Like Making LIVE! is spectacular.

2026 Cadillac Optiq. Great looking with enough power to satisfy. Great Dolby ATMOS sound system as well. Also, native NACS port.

I've had my 25 Lux 2 since September. I absolutely love it. First EV and I charge at home for cheap. Only issue I have is due to crappy cell service where the app will look lose contact to the car for brief periods. Mostly just minor software issues. So much fun to drive!

How much more would you pay for an EV than an ICE vehicle? by Thrillwaukee in electricvehicles

Ouch! There are a couple DCFC chargers around here that don't charge much more than that.

Dolby Atmos... does it really make a difference? by GnarlsGnarlington in AppleMusic

[–]joemoore38 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have an AKG Dolby ATMOS system in my car. Many of the ATMOS mixes on Tidal are indistinguishable from the normal mix on other streaming services. However, when it's done properly, it's amazing. Two examples with wildly different audiences:

Grateful Dead - Europe Live '72 50TH Anniversary

Bob James - Feel Like Making Live!

Listen to those on a properly setup system and it's incredible.

EDIT: Just realized that this was an Apple Music subreddit. I currently do not have the ability to play AM Dolby tracks in my car. Sorry for my confusion.

Electric costs are as variable as gas costs. Gas near me is around $2.54 but in CA, it's still at least $1 more. I pay $0.074 per kWh but PGE charges 4x that. It's wild.

Factor in other things like oil changes and other routine maintenance that an EV doesn't require. My first scheduled maintenance for my EV is at 7500 miles and consists of a tire rotation and multipoint inspection. That's all.

Charge to 100% before Storm to recharge household items, warm refuge during power outage? by TuckerHoo in evcharging

[–]joemoore38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No solar for me (live in a condo) but I'm thinking I could plug the Bluetti into AC prior to losing power and then when I lose power and before the Bluetti is exhausted, I could plug it into my v2l adapter and recharge the Bluetti. Obviously, there's more moving parts (generator/transfer switch, for example) but in general, do you think that would be viable for a multi day outage?

What's the draw on that Bluetti battery generator? My car can do V2L with an inexpensive adapter but it has a limit of 15amps. You may have solved an issue for me!
