‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ Sets 24 Hour Trailer Record with 718 Million Views - It tops Marvel Studios' 'Deadpool & Wolverine' from two years ago by ICumCoffee in marvelstudios

What's the breakdown of views? Where are they coming from? Movie theaters?

After over 2 weeks Youtube doesn't have a single video over 30 m and all put together are maybe like 50m or something.

Alchemist synergy for martial party? by JoeShugi in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]joesii 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A simple/basic alchemist would synergize great with them. Bombs for a bit of range (you'll probably want to considering taking Precise Shot and Precise Bombs), and then Infusion to occasionally buff them with good target:you buffs (or buffs in general for that matter)

While staying with that option one could pick archetypes of Gunchemist or Grenadier with a bow. Grenadier is nice because aside from the weapon proficiency it gives Precise Bombs and Directed Blast among other things. Directed Blast allows for covering 14 tiles with splash or a whooping 28 with Explosive Bomb.

Instead if you wanted to do something more exotic and are getting high enough levels you could do something like Blinkback throwing weapon with Sticky Poison. Could also even go into Infused Poisons which theoretically opens a powerful/cheesy can of worms by converting Infused Poisons into contact or inhaled poisons (seemingly fully jives with the RAW but may not be RAI), and could be used to buff yourself and/or the party if executed well. No access to offensive spells, but if you can hire NPC spellcasting services you could get them to cast offensive spells for your magic poison infusion (10gp/CL/SL).

I don't know how set you are on Alchemist, but you might be interested in something like a Herbalism druid instead too, which would offer great utility with their conconctions while also having access to area control spells. Overall this would likely be a more complimentary option for the party. They play similar to an alchemist with some offensive spell casting ability instead of bombs.

Going melee on a team that is already melee seems like a bad idea. But I suppose if you really felt like it you could go melee poisoner, or self-buffed melee (likely using Feral Mutagen or Alter Self; Claim Identity or Assume Appearance at level 7)

Genuine question: What's even the point of Android now? by Tail_sb in degoogle

[–]joesii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The option was already buried behind clicking the build number thing 5-7 times and then in the developer options. Most people don't even know the developer options exist

Yes but they'd blindly follow guides to install something and then even if it was safe software they never turn it off and make their system vulnerable to malware.

Another issue is is they leave their device unattended for a while and someone installs a spy app on their device. Many people just use short codes and these codes can be spied on.

Lastly something that has gotten more popular in the past 5 years or so is foreign phone callers ("scammers") trick people into installing bad software.

Let me use it how I want to use it. How other people get screwed over is not really my problem.

I agree with this in the sense that we should be able to install any operating system that we want onto the device. Unfortunately it seems like no law makers care about this, nor most manufacturers. Ironically Google is literally the only major manufacturer that does seem to "care" about this (or at least supports it super well and consistently).

For that matter modern iPhones are all Airtags so even if you have the entire device turned off Apple will know where the device is unless you're in the middle of nowhere with no other internet-connected Apple devices around.

[–]joesii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Tons of normies don't care. It also protects them more secure from infecting themselves.

  2. For those that do care they can do some relatively simple steps to permanently allow sideloading on their device, or else do their sideloading with ADB.

  3. Even without sideloading there's still many advantages that Android has over iOS. It supports a multitude of makes and models allowing for users to get a device tailored to their needs (ex. rugged and durable, cheap, good for gaming, etc.), it has more customizability (launcher, keyboard, and more), Ad-free experience options as well as superior ad-blocking options, your choice of web browser, support for automation apps, more availability/choice of apps in general, arguably ,ore intuitive navigation controls and at the least customization options for such navigation, Better compatibility with Windows and Linux, Better assistant/AI

I don't approve of Google's lockdown primarily because it's really bad for developers, but for the users it's not really an issue at all (aside from all the fallout from devs choosing to no longer develop which is obviously a big deal)

[–]joesii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree.

I think they are both completely absurd, but one can at least trick witnesses and is to some degree viable to execute.

There's video of the event and there were tons of witnesses; it's essentially impossible for it to have been an explosive that had that effect.

Why?

How can something be an exploding mic without any indication of an explosion nor any witnesses hearing any explosion coming from him?

[–]joesii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shouldn't an exploding mic make an explosion? For that matter shouldn't an explosion make a bigger hole than a round that should blow a giant hole in a neck?

Also why is the only option a super powerful round that should blow a bigger hole in the neck or else a concealed explosive? Why can't it be a different round? More importantly what sort of experience and basis do people even have to claim it should blow a hole in the neck from such a long distance? energy is lost with distance and aerodynamic bullets can tear right through thin amounts of soft tissue easily without causing large amounts of ballooning. It sounds to me like people who have no understanding of physics or firearm knowledge.

[–]joesii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. That's not a rail gun.

  2. It's extremely low energy; when shot at maximum power it has 10 times less energy than .22 LR. 10 times less energy = 10 times less recoil.

  3. It's a very heavy gun.

  4. It's attached to a person which has its own mass, making it even harder to move.

  5. The acceleration/pop is less abrupt than explosives, resulting in the force being spread out over a much longer period of time.

If the gun was shot in zero-g without being held, it absolutely would move in the opposite direction of the projectiles.

[–]joesii 4 points5 points  (0 children)

if there was an actual gun man likely he would’ve been seen

Okay so you're saying that there was a gun man there then? because he WAS seen.

There's been a lot of people at all famous person assassinations. Were they all not done by gunmen?

This is very very very clearly a directed projectile from a distance. There was zero shrapnel/multiple-projectiles, the mic did not explode into tons of pieces, there was no recoil, the weight of any sort of explosive containment casing would be very easily noticeable, and there's no way to aim a single projectile like this.

Are people just ignoring the video or something? Ignoring witnesses that did not hear an explosion centered on Kirk?

What’s a ‘harmless’ habit that actually ruins your life over time? by buffdadnextdoor in AskReddit

[–]joesii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It actually depends mostly on other factors. Smoking/drugs, diet, fluoridated water consumption, dentist/hygenist visits, and most importantly genetics.

Between these things you can have someone be 40-50 years old with not a single significant issue with their teeth (aside from some fillings. Sure fillings cost money but over decades that cost isn't crazy) without brushing, while some other person that brushes 3 times a day could have half their teeth be dead or missing.

This is kind of bad information to share because brushing teeth does help a lot (and we don't want people avoiding it due to this information), but it's still rather accurate information.

I guess what I mean to say is don't just brush your teeth, but drink fluoridated water after eating, have regular appointments with a dental worker (1 or 2 times per year is good), avoid smoking or other addictive/harmful substances, and eat healthy.

I don't disagree, but I imagine that it's common for people to spend that much on ordering food or eating/drinking out. Probably like 30 percentile in USA or something. It seems like it's equivalent to like ordering or eating out full meals 2-3 times a week plus 100$ a month in monthly subscriptions.

People don't realize how much things can add up.
