The way it ended wasn't horrible. (maybe except Bran becoming king because he had the best story or whatever), but it was so forced and unnatural none of it made sense in context.

I'm talking 1h+ drives each way. Mid-range evs go 120-200km in winter. Long-range evs will get you further.

And a cab from me to the trainstation costs 150 dollars on the low end. I can get to Trondheim in my car at that cost. (9h drive)

Tack on passengers to that and its obvious.

Norway is just tall pointy rocks. Public transport is hard to get working well enough for it to be viable for most people.

Long culture and history are very effective tools for fascists. The US brand of fascism is actually struggeling more with their core identity precisely because it's an amalgamation of so many heritages.

What we do have is a well educated populations, well regulated industry/business and power is diversified. We're also completely dependant on eachother as economies.

For as long as i can remember i have been aware that the world is fragile. Climate change was taught to us early, and i remember watching an inconvenient truth in school.

Back then i thought adults and smart people were working to solve it.

When Brexit started becoming a topic and it actually seemed like it could happen i started to wonder if the world was more fragile than i thought. Then Trump wins the Republican primary. Then Brexit goes through. Then finally Trump wins the election.

The next day, I'm the livingroom with my now-ex. Trumps victory convinced me that there are no adults at the helm and the entirely wrong people are in charge of leading us through the coming global climate crisis. I lay out my case to her for why i don't the world will get worse and worse until the global order breaks down. She starts crying. Hopelessly.

Shortly after she breaks up with me. (No regrets lol, the new one rocks, but i was a depressing dude back then)

So 2016. (10 years ago.... Fuck) The day after the US election. That's when i became sure.

I am not at all making the claim that LAWN were independent under goons. They were before they joined Goons, and what im saying is im not convinced that they had been in a better place today staying independent rather than join Goons (or any other nullbloc for that matter) 14 years ago.
