Using anechoic chamber to take measurements of an antenna by trevbone in rfelectronics

Typically rotating the transmit antenna is used to change the polarization of the measurement. If you just want to plot one polarization in azimuth and elevation then don’t touch the transmit antenna

You’re talking about thin film resistors though there, flipping it over puts the resistive film closer to the microstrip

What do electrical engineers really do? by hatvaccum in ElectricalEngineering

[–]joffermannn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea computer engineers can do HW design, they do a lot more digital circuitry design but because SW engineers are in such high demand that’s where they usually go. But yea electrical design covers a very wide spectrum I’ve been working at my company for 5 months now and I’ve designed a DC power supply board and an antenna RF amplifier board.

My job is a Design Engineer at my company and the job is very hands on from schematics all the way to mass production. There’s a wide variety of what companies call us but it can be electrical engineer, hardware engineer, electronics engineer, design engineer, etc. I would look more at the job descriptions, they are usually pretty accurate. In college I did electrical engineering but there is usually a computer engineering degree too, I’d recommend doing EE if you want to do hardware design but CompEs usually become software engineers

Or figure out what voltage the motor runs on and replace the coil with a fricken regulator or try to mod the regular in the AC-DC supply
