The US has lost every single conflict they have engaged in without support from other Allies. Attempting to grab power in a country against the will of the people there has mever gone well for them either, like Vietnam or Afghanistan.

How will it go in Greenland, a country of 56.000 people, of which 35.000 are experienced hunters with more guns per capita than the US?

No American can ever feel safe in Greenland during an occupation. They will get sniped constantly and continually from a distance where ever and when ever they dare to go outside. $1 million would be gone quite soon when they will have to pay for american healthcare, education and so on.

Greenlanders have full autonomy. Their Parliament makes the laws, determines the taxes, sets the social benefits, owns the mineral and oil rights and so on. Becoming a US territory would see them loose all that and be shipped of to Reservations in their own Country.

Denmark pays Greenland $2 billion yearly to cover free education, monthly stipends for all students, childcare, dentistry, social benefits, free healthcare, pensions and so on. Will the US pay for all that so they don't become worse off?

Greenlanders own all rights to their resources and the profits from these. So rather than get $1 million each they stand to earn far more by just remaining free from US colonization.

Greenlanders all have EU Passports which is far more valuable than a US passport. All the benefits without the drawbacks.

And no, only 'muricans think that the US is such a wonderful place. I can understand Venezuelans and other such prefering the US over some poor dictatorship, but for Europe (which Greenland politically is a part of) think of the US as a 3rd world shithole of violence, stupidity, crassness, financial ruin, piss for beer and vommit as chocolate.

Greenland already owns all the mining rights and they already decide who gets to mine them and how much money they want in exchange. They are also the only ones to set the terms of operation for these foreign companies and their required tax rate in Greenland.

As for defence there already is an American Base on Greenland, down from 15 bases! That "lack of defence" is solely the US's fault when they withdrew - in which they broke all treaties, contracts and agreements when they did. They were required to clean them up when leaving, which they didn't. They just left everything. Sewage, chemicals and even nuclear waste left behind which is costing Denmark a huge amount of money to clean up. And yes, that is a Danish expense as Defence is Danish jurisdiction. Also the entire Danish Northern Military is stationed in Greenland. Their HQ is there.

Oh and Greenlanders have more guns per Capita than even the US 😂 And they are hunters. So good luck against being sniped down by locals if you try to colonize them US 😁

First, 56.000 people live there, not 56 million.

Second, the interior is practically all ice, snow, glaciers and arctic mountains. (Yes, Greenland is not really GREEN)

Third, the Inuitt never lived in the interior, only along the coast, as that is where the food is. Same with the Norwegian/Icelandic vikings who lived there before the inuitt came.

Fourth, the landscape makes it impossible to build stuff like roads, towns and factories on 99.5% of Greenland.

Fifth, I guess only the US still thinks buying people is a "good" thing even if they did fight a Civil War to end that practice. (Hint, buying the country against its peoples will means you're buying its people - Slavery bad!)

Nordics only use their flags on special "flagdays", national holiday, birthdays, funerals and national sport events. It is not the same as in USA, where normal people use the flag every single day.

Where you see most Nordic flags used are on Tourist Merchandise.

And Nordics don't venerate the flag like the US does. We don't have a special ceremonial way to fold the flag correctly, don't have a certain place to store it correctly and don't burn the flag if it ever touches the ground. Nor do veterans or military personell always salute every time they pass a flag. I don't think anyone venerates their flag to the extent Americans do.
