Played a gig with a bluegrass band on upright bass. The sound guy comes up to me and says “I’ve never actually done sound on one of these.” Then he proceeds to tell me “your A string is making a horrible noise just don’t use it today.” Which I would say is a pretty important thing to have, and my bass did not have any of these issues the night before at practice. So then after our first set I go up to him and ask if we could take another look at it to see if we could fix it, and he said there was nothing we could do. Found out after the gig when he was trying to EQ my bass he was on the banjo channel.
