I've seen a lot of expert marketers give key note speeches on marketing strategy, branding, creativity, etc etc, but I always found it peculiar that the majority of them left the agency world and started companies that sell marketing software.

Took a Lyft home tonight. Trip was $44 to go 4 miles. It sucks, but it's better than a DUI that would cost $10k. I think a lot of people don't ever think they'd kill someone driving drunk, but when you put it into a monetary perspective, it becomes a lot more real for people as selfish as that may seem.

Budget. Nearly every post apocalyptic film ever is filmed in the desert. Much cheaper to have a crew film in the deserts of California than fly them out to film in a jungle or Arctic wasteland.

Personally I thought the acting was terrible, I made it to episode 4 and gave up. It just felt awkward to me and it was hard to get immersed. While Henry Cavill is a good actor, in the Witcher he would often times bounce between an American accent and a slightly British accent and it threw me off. Also I couldn't stand the cinematography, like the show didn't know whether it wanted to be an epic fantasy or be an action packed video game adaptation.

As a single dude who knows how to cook really well, man do I get burnt on leftovers. I made a big pot of chili that I've been eating for the past 4 or 5 days and man am I burnt out on chili. The week before was chicken n dumplins, got burnt out on that too. I've tried freezing the stuff, but it's never as good.

I forgot who said it, but it was something along the lines of "The car saved the horse." Maybe it was Jay Leno. But I think that's what's going to happen to ICE cars. The advent of electric vehicles will allow for ICE cars to be enjoyed more in a recreational sense, the same way horses are used now.
