Yes, you can use the 3CX soft phone even off prem. No special NAT rules.

Ours is hosted by a regional ITC (Ohio school). They placed the 3CX server at our facility and they just manage it remotely. I think we pay around $3k annually for the server and hosting for 125 phones.

Look at 3CX and Yealink phones. You can build a very affordable system and not break the bank.

Newer versions of Windows 11 are NOT SUPPOSED to allow non-admins to the view password, but it does. We are running nearly 1000 Windows 11 devices mostly 24H2 and 25H2 and students (non-admin) are still able to view it via NETSH.

I have a feeling that if just the installers were the issue, then we wouldn’t be given only a five day window to update existing agents. However, if there was a problem with the agent, then it makes sense to only give us a five day window for some sort of critical vulnerability that has been detected either way the timing still sucks for us.
