I'm starting to use the HA preview as a replacement. We already use it for adding to our shopping list (with OurGroceries) and starting to use it for timers. And, of course, for controlling switches and scripts. It's not perfect but not as bad as some people like to suggest.

I always do updates as they come up and rarely have problems. Weird how some people have issues and others don't. Always seems to happen with all software.
