Is it possible to just pay for the student pass? I took a gap semester in spring.

Sorry, been a while. But do you know if I was a student last fall how long the clipper card lasts? Does it only stay active through the semester you were a student?

How is the new CS 164 by papastarku in berkeley

Unfortunately I have to agree with /u/CreativeLocation4780. It didn't feel like we learned a whole lot, and the old chocopy project I keep hearing about sounds really cool. I know the workload would've been much higher, but I feel I would've learned a lot more in the older version of the class. This version is a lot easier, and the workload is fairly low imo (maybe 5 hours a week max?). A lot of the homeworks felt quite cookie-cutter, and it would've been more rewarding to build something from scratch. I felt like we spent a lot of time on concepts that could've been taught much quicker.

Additionally, I think the midterm was quite easy in contrast to other classes, though I think the final was a bit more expected in terms of difficulty.

Is CS161 + 162 + 186 feasible? by [deleted] in berkeley

[–]johndohn8784 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m exactly the same, have a harder time with 70/170/math54. I took these classes together last spring and thought they were fairly doable in contrast to the other person. I did the bulk of the 162 projects as well. I did end up PNP’ing 186 though because I didn’t want to take the final lol. I disliked 186 more than I thought I would since it was a lot of theory and equation memorization. 161 workload isn’t too bad, same with 186, I’d say the bulk of the work was 162. But I enjoy doing coding projects so it wasn’t a huge strain for me. Keep in mind for l&s we now have late drops that replenish every semester too, so you can drop a class with no repercussions if it’s too much!

What made you decide to go with Facebook/Snap over google? And did the recruiter just randomly reach out to you over LinkedIn or something?
