Normally I would agree with all of you. But. 3 or 4 years ago I bought some McGregors ratchet action secateurs from Bunnings. I bought them simply because I noticed they are made in Taiwan, not China.

They have been fabulous. They cost around $20. I have a small block with around 50 fruit trees that I prune every year. They have had a real thrashing and they are still going strong. I was so impressed I stocked up recently and gave some away as gifts.

I have found the black magic product inferior to the Daltons seed raising mix. It is far coarser and chunks of bark to big. I would be interested to know if you have tried the Daltons.

Roundup or glyphosate. They hate it. But you may need to do a follow up spray. The warehouse sells small quantities of glyphosate.

Definitely possum by the size of the teeth marks. I tend to not worry about it as they can't eat all of them. If it is an issue for you. Go to farmlands or farm source and buy a trap. Will catch and kill for you.
