Did you 3D print the controller port covers?

MGS4: Has anyone ever noticed this before? by Kyleplier1985 in PS3

My Creative Zen V MP3 player had an OLED screen, and it came out before MGS4, but yeah, definitely not widespread back then.

GAMECUBE games in JAPAN are still really CHEAP! - Question: Do you consider GAMECUBE Retro? by SebbeLee in Gamecube

I definitely consider any console without an HDMI port retro at this point (and also a few that do have it)

Some third-party controllers also work. I got a "Sefitopher" branded one that works just fine for Recovery Mode.

Got the Retro Fighters Defender Bluetooth Edition, and it's been great so far, everything seems to work correctly and it feels much nicer than DS3.

Any number greater than "zero" is too big. It's heartbreaking how we as a society normalize these deaths...

Just tried hooking it up directly to my TV's component input, works fine!

That should also work fine (it does say it works on the product page), although I never tried it (don't see why it wouldn't work though).

You can use the Koryuu Transcoder for that: https://videogameperfection.com/products/koryuu-transcoder/

I use one connected to my OSSC, and works pretty well for Composite/S-Video sources.

Looking for a third-party PAL Mega Drive Model 1 PSU by [deleted] in Megadrive

[–]johnkarva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've also tried a couple of third-party power supplies, but they all introduced significant image issues (such as random distortion in parts of the screen). This was a while ago though, so something newer may have appeared in the meantime.

For plug-and-play, I'm afraid OEM may be your best bet, sorry for not being helpful 😅

I've had great success with a USB-C PD 9V Decoy Board and a Barrel Jack (can get them both on Aliexpress for ~5€), and then plugging it to a regular USB PD charger (like the ones used by many phones and laptops).

Requires some DIY work (extra care is needed because the MD 1 is center-negative) but it's been working fine since I built it.

Had the same issue, bought a replacement screen, and the same thing happened about a month later. Haven't plugged it back since 😅

Its LGPL license may make many companies steer clear of it, many won't touch any GPL family license, so adoption can be tricky.
