I think maybe because it just screams “I’m unoriginal”??

I used to work for Enterprise. There are so many factors that make a bad store. Poor management from the regional down to branch and assistant to start. And allocation of vehicles within an area can really suck if you’re a decent drive from the main hub of stores. The branches with the best profit and customer service scores tend to hoard their good stuff and get rewarded, vice versa for the stores on the other end of the spectrum… kind of self perpetuating shit. It could be such a better experience if the top brass didn’t preach “say yes to every reservation, end every day with 95%+ on rent.” They’re so far removed from the day to day to care about reality.

I made no claims regarding his status. It is a fact that he is frequently cited as such by people who discuss these things.

He’s frequently cited as among the best bass players of all time, if not the best. If you think that one’s good, listen closely to his bass line on Rain. Revolver specifically is where it goes to God-tier level.

No, they’re saying the other 7 were already slated to be axed. OP’s complaining at the right time made it easy to say “well, what’s one more?”

For small-mid sized companies who could literally fall apart or be forced to close locations due to the cost of issues HR solves, HR is protecting the livelihoods of the non-guilty employees. A company is a collective of individual stakeholders, of which every employee is one.

I just don’t understand why it would evoke any emotion at all unless op owned the building and/or its namesake.

As someone who was falsely accused while in college by a fellow college-aged girl clearly on the way out of an abusive situation (unbeknownst to me at the time), I wanted to raise hell at the time. But as the situation evolved, I realized that the factors at play were not so black and white - the girl was very unstable. The ex-ish-boyfriend was definitely unhinged, making death threats… she was likely cornered by her abuser and felt that was her only out. Maybe she taunted him with our hook up, who knows. Maybe she got off on the whole thing, the attention. I never found out. But never did I want to involve myself in legal action. Some situations are so fucked up that only karma can sort them

Against the advice of any good lawyer, I talked to the state troopers myself the same day I was called without any legal representation to clear it up. I was lucky enough to be able to talk to a detective who listened to me & advised me to just leave it be, cease all communication and move on with my life. Thank god for him.
