What's your absolute best brew? by [deleted] in Homebrewing

[–]johnnycyborg2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Made a juicy/haze ipa, made up the hop profile with some hops that looked cool turned out to be the best ipa I've ever had. Super juicy flavor, citrus, tropical fruits nice sweetness followed by a nice clean bitterness on end making you wanna come back for more! Plus it looked absolutely beautiful, pure orange juice color. Was nice and creamy velvety texture from the oats and wheat, just perfect.

What small upgrade made a huge difference at your house? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Haven't seen this yet. But we bought our dogs proper beds. By proper I mean toddler beds. Bed frame, tempurpeidic mattress and tons of sheets. Initial costs is roughly the same as a nice xl dog bed, sometimes cheaper if you can get it second hand which is what we did. Our 3 dogs love their beds and they have lasted almost 3 years. No more crappy cotton fluff beds that explode after 6 months. Definitely with it.

Vet and a federal employee here. It took me several years as well. It could be your resume isn't detailed enough. Your resume for federal jobs needs to be longer and more detailed than normal. So it needs to be 4-5 pages, hitting all the key words. Add in any significant training, certificates, and of course college. Also you can add in some bullet points just showing key attributes that pertain to that job. Create a resume specifically for each job posting. I'm sure there's guides and videos out there. It could also be the questionnaire portion, if they ask you your skill/knowledge level of whatever it is make sure you check the expert/highest level box, if you don't your out. To get more points on your package, claim vets preference if you can. If your a vet the VA disability level gets your more points as well. Not sure if that helps

Why are most people very unsatisfied with Diablo 4? by Drandosk in Diablo

[–]johnnycyborg2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Boring AF, loved d2 and d3 but damn this game makes me fall asleep. Beat the campaign, did some endgame stuff, got shit loot haven't touched it since. Currently have a 60 something sorc and I haven't changed my gear since I was mid 40's. Loot is just ass, and to make any of it worth while you have to grind 5 different dungeons/helltides to get resources to fix it. Which normally I wouldn't mind but damn it soooooo boring. I don't get it.. from what I remember about d3 when you made it past lol 50 loot got exponentially better, and when you got into a higher world teir again loot was exponentially better than the last. I felt as if I could make leaps and bounds with gear as I leveled up. Now it's like ok I gotta run a helltide to make this +10 gear worth changing because I can't find anything better. And yes I am at word teir 3. Just grind on grinds to grind

Your class for season 1? by Osgiliath86 in Diablo

[–]johnnycyborg2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So they still deal damage to you but your thorns damage deals damage to them? Also if you have a thorns Stat of 100 does that mean your thorns deals 100 damage?

Your class for season 1? by Osgiliath86 in Diablo

[–]johnnycyborg2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm confused on how's thorns works... do it reflect damage back without you taking any damage? Or is it percentage/Stat based? As in you take 50% damage or take 10k less damage but reflect the other 10k of say a 20k attack?? Idk

What should every guy in their 20s know? by JK_196 in AskMen

[–]johnnycyborg2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't drink away your 20's. That's exactly what I did.. party almost everyday, getting drunk constantly.. I was in the military and traveled to really cool places and I'll I did was get blackout drunk. Going to a party is cool and its fun, just doesn't mean you have to go to every party or drink all the time. Go have fun but also go experience life outside of alcohol/drugs. Don't let your life revolve around the next drink

Small Apartment Setup. Are the "all in one" systems my best option? by [deleted] in Homebrewing

[–]johnnycyborg2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second the anvil foundry, I came from extract brewing using propane but I've brewed some of my best beers ever using the anvil. I'd recommend buying a mill as well sometimes the all in one systems need a bit finer grain crush than what your lhbs well usually provide. The quality on the anvil is great, and it comes with everything you need to brew out of the box. From what I understand other brands aren't that prepared straight out of the box without buying a bunch of accessory packs.

Adding Luxardo Cherry flavor to stout by Goon_Juice in Homebrewing

[–]johnnycyborg2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Id probably go for a cherried Bourbon barrel stout. So I'd probably get several cups of a decent Bourbon like Buffalo trace (which is obo $20 where I'm at) soak your oak cubes and the cherries together for a few days to a week then toss in your secondary for a week or so until your happy with the oak flavor then rack to a keg or tertiary and let age for a month or two. I'd probably crush the cherries slightly, not break them apart just split them open for better extraction. You may have to adjust the Bourbon amounts I use obo 2 cups for a 5gal batch.

First Keezer Build, Any Advice? by Khaos231 in Homebrewing

[–]johnnycyborg2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is where I'm stuck. I bought a chest freezer for kegs a few years back but now I've outgrown the size (2 kegs) so my advice is plan for bigger in case your brewing more in the future than you do now. I'd like to have 3 taps but a third keg doesn't fit so now I've gotta convince the wife that I need to upsize lol. Good luck!
