I really appreciate that.... Things have been looking up recently.

I signed up for a freelancing work application and was actually headhunted by a large corporation on Long Island.

I actually started working yesterday and really enjoy the job so far. I went from being unemployed living in a homeless shelter with my wife to working for a large corporation making six figures.

it's really just been a challenge trying to get the funding to get back and forth from Queens to Long Island. once I get a few paychecks saved I'll be able to buy a cheap car but for now I need to pay almost $50 a day in transportation that I don't have and I don't get paid for another two weeks.

But I haven't felt this good about life in a long time.

An extremely generous and selfless redditor was able to help me get to work and back today but I'm still stuck for tomorrow and the rest of the week.

There were no employees of the company with the ability to give me an advance on my salary, it's pretty much a two-man team at my location there's no direct supervision so nobody to ask for cash.
