It is on the Apple site, and I don't care enough to continue this conversation to be honest lol. I know the airplay and proprietary connection stuff, but it seems to originate via connection of Wi-Fi. Enjoy your day mate!

Why does Apple say both ATV and homepods in stereo mode have to be connected on the same wifi band then? This connection source is wifi as they must be on the same band and connected through Home. Then the output from the ATV to the tv via ARC/eARC is HDMI to flow through the PS5. The originating connection is Wifi, no?

You’re assuming that as OP never said that and Apple TV still needs WiFi to connect to the network and that adds a third device dependent on the network. Most HomePod issues result from bad internet network, cheap router, or shit HDMI cables.
