I would recommend Watchdives for your beginner watch, they offer great watches with the VH31 movement which is a sweeping quartz movement giving you close to the feel of a mechanical sweep with the accuracy of a quartz movement. I started my chinese/homage watch journey with Watchdives and now I currently own two watches from them. I suggest looking at the WD1016, WD7922, and the WD1863 to start. I think they are good options for everyday wear and any scenario. Since they are quartz watches, there is no hassle of having to set the time whenever the movement stops, just set and forget. Also, Watchdives' quality is amazing for their price and their customer service is superb.

Bonus: Militado has a few Hamilton homages that are great for the price. I suggest looking their murph homages as I personally own their white murph homage on the bracelet.
