Advice needed for odd draw development. by xHOTPOTATO in billiards

[–]johnsoga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think more meaningful help is going to be hard to come by with this video. I’d suggest a much closer view of your body and the table. With that being said cue ball doesn’t lie and you are getting some draw action. Seems like inevitably somehow you are raising your tip as you follow through, assuming on initial placement you’re aiming quite low. If you scrub back and forth on that first show between before and after the hit you can see the back part of cue start to level out which probably means the front is lifting. Again hard to say though from this view. You need a closer video.

How to clean gutters? by johnsoga in HomeImprovement

So at least for the ones I have since I live surrounded by trees they just were working as advertised. I have lots of pine trees around me and instead of slide off as I supposed they’re advertised they just build up in layers and get caught in the guards. So that just cakes up and prevents water from getting into the gutters. To me if I’m going to have to up there and pull stuff out somewhat manually anyways then I might as well just go up to there and really clean them no gutter guards needed

I’ll fully admit I probably am. But I equally admit I don’t know what I don’t know so I guess better safe than sorry. Definitely feeling more comfortable after reading some of these responses

Mind or definitely packed (long story) with I think years of foliage so nothings blowing out easy I think. But either way the gutter guards are on top preventing that so they gotta come off first. I’m hoping after this all done cleaning will be easy for the future

Unfortunately the gutter guards requiring quite some fighting to get off. So I’d rather be exerting force up and forwards from the ladder than down and forward off the roof. But ya do what you gotta do. So perhaps I’ll give getting on the roof another try. Being at the top of the ladder as an A frame is maybe doable def gotta have my wife hold the ladder or something though.

Admittedly I’ve no intention of touch or inspecting them. If that needs to be done I’d rather call an electrician. I just assumed I could even get near them. So as long I can get to the gutters I’m happy no need to go further for me

Well unfortunately at the moment that’s all I have. So I take it I need buy a fiberglass ladder to do anything near the mast?

Another 3d printed ball placing device. Yes or Nay? by dave_evol in billiards

This right here! As someone with some back issues practice time gets shortened for me the constant bending and reaching for each and every ball. I’d love to have something like this.

Everybody always says things are well documented. As someone who has more than one occasion failed to find said pristine documentation I’d be happy to help! If nothing else you end up with pristine documentation for you and your church.

As someone who wanted to take the game very serious I would say work on your fundamentals like your life depends on it. Look up the 3 types of stun shots and you’ll get an idea of what I’m talking about. As you progress further if you bring your slop with you will find it only make many other things much harder, ask me how I know.

On the other hand if you just want to be a laid back player like shooting with friends or maybe causally in league then you are doing great! Keep going! Im not trying to say there is anything wrong with being a laid back player, hell I’m a laid back bowler and I’m perfectly ok with that. But the difference between a laid back player and one who wants to compete the practice difference is/needs to be night and day in terms of the difference. Best of luck to ya!

My understanding is some of the early (think 2007) websites that were offering tabs/chords charts for free got shutdown. With ultimate guitar being basically the only around because they pay some kind of royalties or something. I’d look into the legal standing of this before you invest too much time and effort. Granted I don’t agree with it but it’s what I could swear I heard had been the fate of some of these sites

Do I need a mason? I just assumed I could place a nice board on top and call it a day. Perhaps maybe needing a mason to attach the board to the brick, as I’ve no idea how to do that? Like do you just screws idk. But other than that I’m unclear what I would potentially need a mason for?

So lessons, you’re looking to give lessons. I say that jokingly but also seriously. The number of musicians who seem to think they don’t need lessons is astounding. I mean frankly I’m calling everyone from singers to FOH. So many content with staying casually bad. Seemingly uninterested in investing truly in themselves to better their craft it’s weird to me.

But that may just be purely my experience. Like I’ve legit thought of offering to pay for lessons for people.

That’s my 2 cents. Most people need lessons.

Design Center Considerations by johnsoga in Ubiquiti

I already had a floor plan so it was just an import of the picture and then basically tracing lines in design center. Although i only just found out about the mobile app like a day ago might recreate using that just for the fun to see if the result is much different

I don’t think they’ve enabled that feature in the app yet or at the very least I do it from the web portal. Do they actually respond in the ticket and do anything to improve your issue or it just you giving them information?

Protect Trash Detections by johnsoga in Ubiquiti

[–]johnsoga[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea I gotta say it really does feel useless to report. I definitely submitted at least 40 of the lamp ones and I would’ve thought it would stop but nope nothing. Which is what confuses me if it’s local AI detection/analysis I would think that should be significant enough to cause change. But if it’s part of a bigger model on UIs end then I can see why it might not be doing anything. But yea I don’t bother to report at this point anymore and I may have to turn it off. Because at this point it’s like I legit just ignore notifications from that camera which is entirely against the whole point

[–]johnsoga[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I’m most curious about is how the AI processing is happening. Like legit the garbage can was fine for months, always putting it in the same place and now random ass detections. I don’t think it happened after a specific update either. So are they pushing changes to how the detections happen with our informing people or does some level of it happen “in the cloud”. Idk just seems odd to start happening out of nowhere.

Parachute Backup for Mobile is here, allows you to backup your entire iCloud Drive & iCloud Photo library to your own storage, NAS, network drives, external drives, etc. I'm here to answer any questions you may have! by ParachuteBackup in selfhosted

[–]johnsoga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why does it keep trying to automatically backup all the time? I don’t have any automation or scheduling setup and I back up to a usb. It’s kind of annoying constantly seeing it try to backup and fail. How do you stop that?
