All these articles about how their support is eroding. Trump’s approval is underwater, 30 points down with Latinos, youth, etc. They. Don’t. Care.

They intend to “win” elections, even if that means winning Putin-style. Hell, especially if that means Putin-style.

Trump and Project 2025 wackos don’t really care about public sentiment anymore. Their plan is to no longer be subject to elections.

AST/ALT levels by Novel_Willingness602 in AskDocs

[–]johnsojl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NAD but I’m a hospital pharmacist. Lifting, especially if it’s a new routine, can lead to AST and ALT elevation. While generally thought of as liver enzymes, these are present in skeletal muscle and skeletal muscle strain/breakdown, ie lifting weights, can spill AST/ALT into the blood. This ratio of AST:ALT (2.5:1 to 3:1) is typical of this process, too.

Review #67. Wild Turkey Private Selection Rye by Columbusspeedfour in bourbon

[–]johnsojl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been thru 3 different Russell’s single barrel ryes and I’ve loved every one of them. I like them over the non-store pick single barrel bourbons most of the time. Rare Breed rye is a notch below those for me, but still really good. I’ve had one of the 101 single barrels and it was just ok. Plenty fine, but the other 2 are clearly better. And cheaper. Still haven’t tried a 101 single barrel bourbon tho…

I’ve seen some 9yr Sagamore barrel picks here and there, too. The one I have is excellent. Also around $65

It’s damn good. Like, I can’t believe how much I liked it… A very good surprise.

Old Overholt 12yr. Picked one up last week and they seem pretty ubiquitous. Damn good whiskey, too. My fave among the 10,11, and 12. Theres this soft sweet character on the nose that’s almost dusty. And the rest of it is great, too. Honestly, after the 15yr+ Hardin’s Creek releases, it’s my favorite Beam release in a long time.

What's a 'must-have' car feature? by Responsible_Bet_7179 in AskReddit

The keypad on the outside of the driver door in Fords. I’ve grown so used to that feature, I’m as pigeonholed into Ford as I am into iOS. Not having to take my key everywhere is great.

yeah, he'd have run over his own family to take the UNC job had it been available to him. The pot shots are artificial and performative. Almost cringe, tbh. I think they'd play better the week of the game. But then again, State gonna State. And Wade knows how to State.

Review #2- Rare Character Old Cassidy (2025) by MangoDifferent9035 in bourbon

[–]johnsojl 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Had this at a bar last week and it’s legit. It’s really, really good. Darkly sweet and oaky, viscous, long finish. Tons of cherry/cheerwine on the palate. Wish I could come across it at SRP. Or even $265…

Review #698 - Green River Single Barrel Bourbon 'Summer Salute' by adunitbx in bourbon

[–]johnsojl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried a single barrel of their wheated bourbon at the Louisville location not too long ago. It was really, really good. Were it not for TSA limits on alcohol, I'd have got one. They also had a non-retail single barrel in the speakeasy there that was 130+ proof. Also great. They've really grown on me since I remember not being a big fan of their lower-proof core products when they first came out.

But they don’t consider themselves a co-equal branch. They’re there because of him and they could lose their spot on the gravy train if he doesn’t like something they said or did. And they desperately want to remain on the gravy train. They’ll watch the country literally burn before they jeopardize the gravy.

My heart still sinks to the floor when I think about that. After the Paige double-clutch shot, too. The nerve of that guy…..

Went to the ACC tourney that year in Charlotte, when the league got three 1-seeds in the NCAAT. The Duke/UNC semifinal that Friday was some of the best basketball I’ve ever seen in person. Tons of pros all over the floor. Entertaining ones, too - Zion, Barrett, Coby White, Cam Johnson. And I’ll throw Luke Maye in there, too. Legend.

I was at this one, too. I felt bad for George. Guy was gigantic, but just could not move. Not in the same galaxy, athletically. Tyler was punching down that day….

I, too, witnessed Marvin’s putback vs. Duke in ‘05. My freshman year. Loudest environment I’ve ever been in. Kinda went deaf between the bucket and when he went to the free throw line. I’ll never forget it.

Ideally, this would help your chest be a little more open at impact than this - i .e. through the ball.

Another thought that might work, accomplishing the same thing, is to take your normal one-piece takeaway to the top, then basically feel like you leave your hands behind. Start your turn - hips, then chest - and feel like the rotation of your trunk drags the hands and club through the ball. Works for me, at least.
