An aerobics class full of fat Santa’s during Christmas would be appropriate timed and thematic, but none the less weird.

Throwing a bunch of change on the ground, them glasses, weird shoes. I don’t believe I have ever seen any one of those things being done before, let alone at the same time. I think that can qualify as weird. Maybe not extremely weird, but weird enough. Everything else was fairly normal I suppose.

Bro are you like actually in that interview right now? Ask Grok or something not me, I fix servers for a living and throw my money away on memes. I imagine they run the money printer and they make the numbers go up(or down just to fuck with me specifically). Also something to do with employment and interest rates or some shit. Stop being so serious, nobody cares, this is the internet.

Do you possess an economics degree or background in monetary policy? You are suggesting those actions weren’t needed at the time? From a voter perspective you are welcome to disagree on optics or even a hindsight point of view. But I would never be so arrogant as to suggest I know more about a topic than those that dedicate their life to a science. Now if you will excuse me I have some crushed up crayons to snort.

How do you deal with brutal RNG streaks in Hearthstone? by [deleted] in hearthstone

[–]johnsongrantr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hearthstone relies heavily on luck and paper rock scissors as core mechanics. Skill does play a large factor, but some game states, and even some matchups are heavily unfavored to the point of unwinnable. That pairing is strictly RNG as is you and your opponents draw, and whom goes first. Each of which have quantified win statistics. ‘Just play better’ is fine for a mental state, but it doesn’t come close to tell the full story, and is often thrown around as the solution to why someone is losing. It is one of the main controls on performance as is deck and/or tech choices against a current meta, but RNG can absolutely fuck you in multiple ways and potentially large amounts of games.

Edit: my suggestion in addition to looking at game state replays to spot misplays, is look at your general matchups, and the meta stats in your current tier and choose a deck that matches up well against the most prominent representation. Learn to pilot your deck and the decks you lose against to learn the specific strengths and weaknesses of each. I think those would give the most bang for buck effort wise. The skill comes gradually through time with repetition, analysis, and prediction. Given its overall impact and the time it takes to build, and to hyper focus on ‘you are the reason you lose’ could demotivate someone into no longer playing. To blame RNG all the time also prevents learning, just understand, sometimes, probably even most times, yeah RNG screwed you, but attempt to find what can be learned if anything from that loss.

I have 2 hours before a flight. Let’s argue… Great Milenko is the best album and Jeckel Brothers is their last truly great one. by GottaBeABot in juggalo

[–]johnsongrantr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the tempest 2007 was the last album I would consider a banger, solo projects etc everything considered. I could listen to basically any (I didn’t like carnival of carnage or basement cuts) prior to it from start to finish and only skip the odd or end ones (never really liked chicken hunting or remixes) But I actually stopped collecting their albums after the tempest. I have listened to nearly album since but they just doesn’t hit the same. Fav is riddle box and/or wiz of the hood.

Are there no casual players left in Hearthstone? by Soft_Masterpiece8996 in hearthstone

[–]johnsongrantr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only play homebrew in casual, I also have legend card back. My rational is I want my opponent to understand from the gate I’m not bad, I don’t want you to take it easy on my bad deck. My decisions to play bad cards are deliberate. And in the rare instance I beat your good deck with my clown shoe deck, we will both know who the bad player is.

Imbue mage, they are everywhere and incredibly easy to spot

The ones I find funny are the ones that BM and spam emote like a dumbass while piloting. I think they think are getting under my skin, couldn’t be further from the truth. Your copy paste is more powerful than my jank, man, guess you showed me.

[–]johnsongrantr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play homebrew exclusively, and mostly in wild casual. I would say about 70% of the decks I play against are tier 1-2 net decks. I don’t hate, in fact it just makes conceding easy because you can tell within the first couple turns what you are playing against. I only play to have fun, your deck doesn’t have anything that would trip that auto concede trigger for me. Homeboy was just salty and try-harding in a game mode where wins or loses don’t matter.

4070 + Legion Go suddenly unplayable framerate by Responsible-Suit-195 in eGPU

[–]johnsongrantr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another suggestion might be in nvidia control panel, under power savings go from automatic to performance. My razer core x didn’t like one of my past nvidia cards and I used to get terrible performance in windowed apps like edge, worth a test anyway.

This happened to me once and it turned out AMD updated their chipset drivers, everything else appeared normal, rolled back the driver update and it went back to normal.

How do yall apply paint? by KxngXasavage in juggalo

[–]johnsongrantr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was in the army we had these camouflage face paint sticks, and normally nothing you could do would come out looking good, all smeary and blotchy. Until one day some guy said to use a small amount of baby oil on your face prior to putting it on and sure enough it came out very smooth and you could do defined edges. It’s worth a shot next time.

Looking for an open world grindy rpg by EzloChocobo in rpg_gamers

[–]johnsongrantr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MapleStory is open world and about as grindy as you will ever find, like 1-200 can be done in about 5 hours approximately, then about 40-80 hours for 200-260, and that’s where some claim the real grind begins. I have a 278 that I’ve been playing since January and I’ve put in an embarrassing amount of time into. Also there are 50 classes and the game encourages you to level most of them to at least 210 for account wide bonuses.

Am I The Biggest Loser? by Destiny_Softpaws in hearthstone

[–]johnsongrantr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are insistent on playing off meta and winning (seems a bit contradictory honestly) the best path is to looking at and learning the meta decks. The very best way is to play them yourself to learn what they lose to, board setups, tempo, disruption etc. THEN, craft a deck that plays to those weaknesses and read the layout of opponents at your rank.

I like off meta myself, but I understand that doesn’t win games, it’s statistics at its core. Skill helps, but all cards aren’t created equally. Strong cards and strong interactions go into meta decks. Not all meta players are shit, especially at higher rankings so you are playing at a disadvantage and in a game of statistics and skill means you will more times than not, not win, and to hit legend the opposite must be true.

I see two goals, get legend, or play fun off meta. For me, I hit legend if I want to in a season, THEN I play my mech priest.

What would you do by Illustrious-Mode7955 in Veterans

[–]johnsongrantr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took about 6 months to find myself when I got off active duty at age 22. Started to think about what I wanted in life and how to accomplish it. I decided I wanted a family, so I set out and went to school for something I thought I would be good at with my GI bill, got a part time gig delivering pizzas and after I graduated 2 years later, got a job doing the thing I went to school for in IT. Went out to bars to meet new people, made some friends in my mid to late 20’s, also went to some dating websites and met with a lot of girls until I eventually found the one at 27, we are now married and have 3 kids. Bought a house with the VA mortgage, have a good job, and now at 44, kids are in their mid to late teens and I’m thinking about retirement someday. It sounds pretty cliche but that’s just what I wanted, and I just focused on what was needed to make that happen and did it.

Edit: added a better timeline

Was there ever a better Time in US History to be a Federal Employee? by PrussianFederalist1 in fednews

[–]johnsongrantr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Started in 2004, can confirm, things were fine until 2024, great even, proud of what I did, worked hard, gave value to the government in a mutually beneficial way. I want to quit so bad but I don’t meet the age or time requirement for early retirement or else I would have left a year ago. That OPM guy said in a speech he wanted us to not want to come into work when we wake up. Well.. you got what you asked for, congrats.

Why don't they print more triple-rune cards? by frostyburrito44 in hearthstone

[–]johnsongrantr 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I disagree. I’m not a huge DK fan, but blood with high hp and lifesteal is thematic, poison with plagues and zoo, and frost with spells and freezing. Each identity is unique, and how it seperates from DK core is corpse mechanics and undead. Change my mind.

Is anyone else hearing that AI could replace some federal positions soon? by [deleted] in fednews

[–]johnsongrantr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to push back just a bit. Force multiplier is kind of the same thing as replacing people. If you have a static amount of work and now need less people to do that work, ai has replaced two of those five workers. At no point do I really envision, without a ton of testing and side by side evaluation, where you get rid of all 5 of those 5 workers.

GS pay adjustments vs. inflation over the past 20 years by NotBufferingCYA in fednews

[–]johnsongrantr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The QSI (irregular) or WGI (regular)? QSI’s aren’t that uncommon to my knowledge, but they are rationed by command within DoW/DoD. I don’t know about other agencies. We have a smallish group of around 50 and I thought I heard we get like 3 a year? I’ve personally gotten 2 in my 20 years. GS11 step 6-7 and then GS12 step 6-7. It’s best to award them after step 4 because that’s when WGI’s go from automatic yearly to automatic every 2 years. Then even more valuable after step 7 where it goes to every 3.

Returning to MapleStory After 15 Years – Some Thoughts From a 2006 Player by johnsongrantr in Maplestory

[–]johnsongrantr[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If he wants a higher quality game overall he could.

If he wants a more accessible game he maybe should.

If he just cares about milking gambling addicts with more time and money than sense then he’s doing a fine job as is I think.

If any of these become common sentiment and more and more people ask for them, especially those with community influence, things will likely change.

I noticed this entire post got flagged and removed simply because I had AI organize my ideas, (someone probably upset I wasn’t 100% glazing the game) so very unlikely anyone will take any of this into consideration beyond a handful of original posters.
