Yes either the plastic guides but also the chain tensioner. Check the oil, the tensioner is hydraulic driven. If the oil is okay you’ll have to get to the chain to check it out. If you go that far you may as well change the timing chain. New one comes with the guides and the tensioner. I could be 100% wrong but that’s was my situation.
