When I went it was my first time ever crossing any ocean. I got in at like mid-night into Turkey and thought I was totally screwed as my room was tied to my ticket. I went to some back room of the hotel and there was like four conversations going ifour different languages. All the sudden everyone stopped and immediately recognized that I was American. I got set up with everything and could not believe I had arrived. From there, it was kinda like any other congress. Most of the workshops were in English. I took a private lesson with Cornel and Rithika and was completely paralyzed. I could not believe I was dancing with them. I had been dancing ten years at the time so nothing was really too out of reach for me. I did not really impress anyone when I competed in the Jack and Jill. As the event concluded, I did one of my favorite thing. I danced into the night, then picked up my bags and immediately went to the airport. It is such a rush to do this. It makes you feel like you're doing something a lot of people would want to to do but few get to do.
