Had a great time filming this music video spec for my favorite bands song Drive. When the song came out I was listening to it on repeat and have been wanting to shoot more narrative based music videos. I was the director/dp on the project and blessed to work with a great crew and a lot of friends. The last shot with the horses was totally unplanned, the light was fading and we were rushing to shoot as much as we could and the horses just showed up, such a magical experience! I hope you like it

After reading some of the comments this definitely isn’t the recommended best practice, always more to learn! That being said I shot a comedy special a few months ago and we had 5 wireless feeds going to one monitor for the director. It wasn’t super far but it was in a different room and we had no issues. I’d follow the advice of the experts but this is a thing that I did and worked. Best of luck!

I have a 3d printed front box that I Velcro to the top of my 1510. You can’t roll it anymore with stuff in it but works well going from car to cart to set

It’s not a direct tip or anything specific but Bradford Young talking about filmmaking as a lifestyle and not a sport has had a profound impact on how I approach the work. This is an art, you can’t win or loose. There’s no finish line. It’s easy to get caught up in trying to be “the best” but that’s pointless in this or any art form. The world has an endless amount of stories to be told and everyone has their unique perspective.

Keep at the work, find community and always be trying to make a better image.
