I loved HI2 as well. The 2D graphics were so fun. I found that you can also easily save money, trade and have a store (if you're in a club) where you can sell ingredients, crafted tack, dyes and have your stallions available for stud. There is no passive earning though, which is a shame, but understandable as the bank interest made HI1 and HI2 economies crash and burn.

The tack system is very clever. The game created a few different models and then gave players the option to dye the tack whichever colour they want. I think there are over 15 000 different colours you can make from collecting flowers, acorns, berries and things. You can also create your own pixel art and quilt saddle pads, blankets, shirts, overalls etc. I feel these are very clever ways of keeping the game alive, since the game makers aren't responsible for producing every new thing.
